I drive my DC for sales calls 1 or 2 days a week (work pays for rental cars most of the time - yay) and it does just fine. Gas mileage isn't great but if your job is paying for it then go for it. My only real issue (and it isn't a huge one) is that it isn't as quiet inside as a car - not a huge deal unless you make a ton of phone calls (plus I have Cooper AT3 which while not loud, they aren't the quietest road tire).

And I feel you on the getting in/out. I'm 33 and used to drive a slammed Acura RSX. I still love driving that cart but used to hate having to get in/out or work on my laptop in it. The only reason I didn't ditch it sooner was at the time I was in a rental car every day so it wasn't an issue. Once I had to drive it for work a few days a week - NOPE.

Thanks for the input. My Maxima has 19 inch sport wheels and road noise isn't that bad but it is a little rough. I would like to put the KO2 on a Tacoma if I have one. I just priced out new tires for the Maxima and while I was at discount tire I asked about the KO2.

The KO2 were 191 ea while my 19 inch Michelin maxima tires are 220 ea.

I was surprised all that rubber was cheaper then the little rubber on my Maxima.

I do make a ton of phone calls. Hoping the BT is really good In the Tacoma. It's awesome in my max.

Mine's basically an office on wheels, I drive 50k+ miles a year. I have a computer desk bolted to the front inner passenger seat rail. Also has a Lund tri-fold tonno cover to carry catalogs and product samples. Eventually want to get a Leer or ARE camper top with side fold out windows.
I too am a road salesman, drive 50k per year. My previous vehicle was a 2010 F150 XLT regular cab. Talk about depreciation! Bought it in Sept of 2010, put 255k on it in 5 years and got $2k in trade last month for an Access cab 4cyl/auto and love it. The 2.7L is a workhorse capable of 300k+ miles if well maintained.

Removed front spoiler, Toyota All Weather Mats, Toyota sill protectors, Towing package with Curt tow bar & hitch, tinted front driver & passenger windows @28% Llumar Film, removed pinstripes, added 4x4 TRD Off Road decals, Toyota OEM mud flaps, BFG KO2 265/75/16 tires, ...more to come.
If you are concerned with longevity, I have a friend that had a 4X4 T-100 (manual) that had 405k miles on it. One of the factors in my decision to go with a Toyota. I know the "I have a friend" comments get little respect, but this is completely true.
