Some of you know my story of woe, I'm going to contact Toyota directly to voice my concerns. Anybody have the phone number for me to call Toyota directly?

    Thanks,
    Chris

With our 2 year bumper-to-bumper warranty, anyone know if that is ONLY
good at the dealer you purchased the truck from?

New vehicles will have a 3yr/36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. Your vehicle can be serviced at any Toyota dealer.

Now, if you are referring to Toyota's 2yr/25k mile service any Toyota dealer can do that service as well.

thx, are you sure? I don't remember anything regarding a 3/36 warranty, only the 2 year plan.

Any dealer will do the covered maintenance such as oil changes, etc?

Warranty and Toyota Care are two different things.

ToyotaCare covers regularly scheduled maintenance for 2 years or 25,000 miles.

    Warranties are as follows:
    Basic Coverage
    36 months/36,000 miles

    Powertrain Coverage
    60 months/60,000 miles (engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel-drive system and rear-wheel drive).

    Rust-Through Coverage
60 months/unlimited miles (corrosion perforation of sheet metal).

Every brand new Toyota has a 3 year 36k bumper to bumper warranty whether you like it or not.

You also get 2 years of free maintenance up to 25k miles, known as "ToyotaCare". Both can be handled by any Toyota dealership in the country.

    thx all.

Had no idea ToyotaCare(oil changes/tire rotation) would be covered by any
dealer, I always assumed for those you had to bring it back where you bought it.

you were told that because its true. If the dealership says Toyota on the sign, you're good to go. Even if you move 2,000mi away.

Hope so! I'll call the one I may use soon to find out. I purchased mine from Haley
in Va. and after 2 months of dealing with lies and BS, I'd never go back for any reason,
I'd pay out of pocket before I'd return there.

I asked the questions here because I was told
I could ONLY go there(place of purchase) for ToyotaCare.

Keep in mind the free maintenance you will receive is only what Toyota recommends for your truck, which is a tire rotation every 5k, and an oil change every 10k. So within 25k miles, you will get two free oil changes and 5 tire rotations. It also includes 2 years or 25k miles of free road side service.

    road side assistance either.

Awesome! thanks! I'll most likey do it myself as I always have
but more-so wanted to confirm what I was told by finance.

And just one more freakin lie from Haley, dam! :D

take the free maintenance man. If your truck is a v6, it holds 6 quarts of 0w-20 synthetic oil, which at a parts store for something halfway decent, is going to be $7 a quart if you're lucky.

I work on cars for a living, and I only change my own oil because I have a lift and its convenient enough. If I had to do it in my driveway, I'd be taking it in and paying faster than you can say abracadabra. I won't even change oil for friends and family unless they bring it to me at work. Yet I've done axles, timing belts, power steering pumps, brakes, control arms, and exhaust work laying in a driveway. Oil changes are a royal mess, and I hate worrying about disposing of old oil. For the amount of time it takes me to jack up a vehicle, roll under it, drain the oil, make a mess, bump the drain pan and watch a tidal wave of oil cascade all over my driveway, curse and throw tools, spill more oil because the wrench ricocheted into the drain pan, fill it back up, and clean up the oil-pocalypse, I just assume pay and watch someone else do it while I drink copious amounts of coffee.

I plan to call another dealer today regarding the oil changes. After the time we've spent dealing with Haley
I wouldn't trust them in any way to touch the vehicle, so hopefully the other local dealer honors that, that's
    a good chunk of change!

I am quite familiar with the "throwing of tools". :D

Again, any Toyota dealership honors any Toyota warranty and any Toyota care plan.
