okay well i've notice in the last day or two that my truck smells like clutch when i park it. the truck had sat for 2 months before i bought it but the clutch is strong. no slipping at all, its not my first 5 speed and i even though it might be me so i let a couple other people drive it and it smelled the same, any suggestions? just thinking that the clutch might have some crap on it from sitting and just needs to be worn back in?

    2000 tacoma 2.7 btw.

    thanks

i would just drive it and if the smell keeps coming you might have problems. but after sitting for 2 months it should smell a little

Mine smelled to for the first week or so... It's the first 5 speed that's the problem.

its just a stock ecu config right now. 6.5lbs on a stock maf and stuff. makes about 245 rwhp estimate with the upgrades. its got a few upgrades though as listed

    rb20det
garret t25 turbo(ball bearing) (factory is t20 ceramic bearing)
    blitz bov
    custom made downpipe
    4 inch hks exhaust
    stage 3 fidanza clutch
    hks turbo timer
    300zx brakes all around
    front strut tower bar
18" rx8 wheels 245 55 rear and 225 55 front (had to run 1 inch bolt on spacers up front and 6 mm slide on spacers in rear to clear the calipers)
    pioneer deck

    plus more in the future.

i love tacos, just never thought id own one and a nice sports car. so i guess my list is going to be closed for a while because i dont wanna get rid of either one. insurance is tough when your a student and have an hour drive to school daily but i make due. i work part time and 10 cars from my list got me some cash buying and fixing and selling so that helped when it came to that stuff. learned a lot of stuff the hard way but have a lot of connections in the car industry around here so that always helps :)

    cheers
    brett

I apologize I misread your post. I thought you said it's your first 5-speed, you said it's not your first 5 speed. I couldn't believe you had an automatic Skyline. Makes sense now.
