I'm not 100% sure if my motor mounts work on the 3.4 V6 2wd 5 lug trucks. I designed them around the 2wd prerunner and 4wd frames. The block is obviously the same and the center section but I'm concerned that the distance to the frame perch may be different.

    Just ask... there's a lot.
Any idea if these will fit on a 2000 4Runner 3.4l? I'm not sure if the mounts are different between the 2 platforms.

Ill have to research the part numbers. They "should" be the same as the block/center rubber piece and the frames were all the same for the 4wd/prerunner trucks and the 4runners had the exact same front suspension and mount points.

Don't get too down on the auto...it robs a bit more power but if you keep it running cool it will outlast any 5 speed. I have blown up around ten 5speeds from heavy offroading and racing. 3rd gear is the weak link, it blows the teeth off it from heavy shock loading.

Just completed the prototype for a member on here. This is a perfect compliment to my solid motor mounts and is based around the same hard polyurethane bushings. Bolts to the stock factory cross member (new bolts will be supplied) and to the aluminum transmission case. No modification/fabrication required. Have a truly solid mounted drivetrain for serious off-roading and more positive throttle response. The 3.4L manual transmission and T-case is extremely heavy and is a lot of weight to be supported by solid motor mounts alone! I have personally cracked the aluminum housing from over flexing of the stock tranny mount and in conjunction with broken/over flexing motor mounts...this will cure all those possible problems common with heavy off-roading/hitting whoops/jumping.

    Price is $400, I take PayPal ryan_tfg@hotmail.com

Yikes....well ive see worse... the reason the towers/perches are mangled is because the rubber isolator has failed and the whole mount is raising up and slamming back down. This is the #1 thing that I constantly tell people what to expect. Even if the actual mount itself hasn't failed, it can still be weakened enough to cause frame perch damage from the sloppy movement.

Looking forward to building you a set and ending your issues forever! I can possibly help you with the frame perches as well.

Definitely interested in getting both at some point. Do you provide installation instructions? Lastly, do you have any plans to make these for an 05 T4R V8?

No instructions needed, the installation is self explanatory. if you can change a starter or idler pulley or driveshaft then it is on par with those operations.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a T4R?

Unfortunately, I've never changed any of the aforementioned. I guess my concern (really) lies with properly supporting and lifting the engine and transmission. I don't want to damage anything.

    T4R stands for Toyota 4runner.

Oh lol. Ive never heard a 4 runner referred to that way.

I have no reason to believe that the motor mounts will not bolt into the 3.4L 4 Runners. The engine blocks are identical and the frames at least up in the front should be identical too since the suspension/pivot points/steering are identical.

As far as supporting the engine when changing the mounts, a simple floor jack with a block of wood under the oil pan will suffice. that's pretty much how everyone does it, including myself.

My 4runner has a V8, which is why I was inquiring.

As far as using a floor Jack and a piece of wood: would I use a 2x4? Plywood? If so, how many pieces do you suggest? I apologize for being anal, but this will be my first run at lifting up a motor.

These won't fit your 4runner. Wrong generation and wrong motor.

Yes, I'm aware of that...but my question, a few posts up, wss asking if the OP had any plans to make mounts compatible with V8.
