A lot!! This by far has a lot more room then the other 5 closed bumpers I did have. Their is a warm m8000-s sitting in the shop waiting for the bumper to get painted. And then it's remit mounted controller box and a switch in the cab.

I'm thinking about modifying my bumper to bring it in a little closer. Currently the outside edge is about 6 inches or so from the grill

Its actually kinda small, but i need to modify it and i don't have a winch yet.... so problems lol
How much Total Space/clearance would one need for a 8-10k winch ? Hight won't be a problem, I'm just concerns about depth

Depth wise you want to give about 8 inches of depth. Your only going to use 6.5 for that but the rest needs to be for air space for the winch. I have slightly melted synthetic winch line with the heat of the radiator at times with both the old truck and new truck. If your not running synthetic then get it as close as you can. Also for an exact number look up the winches you might run and see what there width and depth is.

I have to do a head ache rack for my dads truck before I can build a bumper for you but afterwords I'd be very happy to get your truck back here for a bumper. Because after that I know I can have you fallow me on trails and not hear about it after words.

Thank you. The back of the panel looks like shit compared to what I do for others but I don't care because I'll soon never see it again.
