Well I am a girl so a girly miata is ok with me

I think my lotus is girly too but all owners seem to be men

Actually I hate the mouth of the nc1. I love the nc2 changes

I have been in a 1954 vette once. Great torque

Excellent performance bargains the vette is but doesn't scratch my itch

I like the nd front end but the rear doesn't jive with the front

I wish I had a kardashian ass that way I could sit on my ass while men paid for my stuff and I didn't have to work ;)

About to pull the trigger on a 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 Double Cab Long Bed
    Base Model 7566A
    Vehicle Base Model: $34,340

    Tow Package 650
    Carpet FLoor w/Door Sill: 209
    Mudguards: 140

    Total MSRP: $36,239

    Out-the-door: $38,368
It's about 638 off the total MSRP, does this seem like a decent deal? Seems like a lot of you are getting 1500-2000 off MSRP are those with incentives? Truck is already on delivery from another dealer...what's fair negotiated price? Any insight is greatly appreciated! I live in Maryland. Thank you!

I would not have paid that but in some areas of the country, dealers have their choice of buyers with money.

Your Invoice price is $33537 for that truck,

Thanks I will try to look for the market price for my area, I'm financed for 38500, so if I can get the truck for much less I can have more wiggle room for an extended warranty.

Are the extended warranty mainly for the electronics even worth it? If so, what's a decent price on a 7 year?

    I've had 5 Vettes.
Strangely, the C7 doesn't appeal to me.
    I like the 68-72 C3
    The C4
    And C6

Never liked the C5. And not a big fan of what many in the vette world consider the holy grail...the "mid years" 63-67.

My fantasy Vette= 1957 fuelly. Black. Silver coves.
But I don't have several hundred grand to spend on a garage queen.

That's about right for that particular model. I've seen the in the $19ks too.
Just go on www.cars.com and search for 2016 tacoma below $25k and there's a mountain of those white AC RWD models.

Well honestly man, I went 72 months. I got a 1.75% interest rate, that's the lowest the credit union my wife works at will go for a 60 month loan, and because she works there she gets some perks. (i.e. a 72 month loan at 1.75%)

My OTD price was $33K at that interest rate for 60 months was $574.81 at 72 months $483.15 its saving me $91.66 a month and only costing an extra $298.20 in interest. Honestly that's kind of a no brainer, especially if I plan on keeping it anywhere close to that 6 year mark.

No six year car loan is a no brainer. "Keeping the vehicle" is only partly the key! . My concern is people's expectations that their income will remain the same for the next six to eight years. Especially people in their 20's A LOT can change in six years in that age group. Opportunities that have to be passed on because of debt. It's not always about the low interest rates.

It's about about predicting the future when someone takes out a long term loan
. On a home there is some protection in appreciation, In a vehicle that depreciates faster than the loan payoff amount for years is a risk.

If we were saddled with debt in 07 , we could not have taken advantage of the opportunity to quit our jobs and sell our home in San Diego into that RE bubble and move to the Southeast. Investing and Banking a nice sum after rebuilding here. We would not have had the nerve to quit our jobs and move. But we had nothing to lose. House was paid for. Cars were paid for.

My son is 35 years old and never bought a new car. He saved and paid cash for what he could afford. Like we did. He is now looking to buy a home and will easily be qualified for it (on a 15 year note) His down payment is made up of car payments he never made and it also guarantees he will never be upside down on his home. He drives a 2003 Civic. But has money in the bank.

Well kudos to your son for being able to do that.

My wife and I are both really good with our finances. We bought our house 18 months ago and welcomed our son into the world 3 months ago. We have a really nice nest egg in savings, and continue to add each month. Plus all OT and bonus checks go to savings as well.

The 72 month loan works for me. The interest over the life of the loan is a joke. It makes the monthly note cheaper and allows me more money to spend on my son. Sure, I could of went 60 or even 48 but would of had a much higher monthly note. I could of done a down payment out of my savings but then I wouldn't have the savings for a "what if" moment. I do live in south east Texas where Hurricanes come. Over the life of the loan I'll pay $1,800ish in interest so for about 35k for a truck that cost me 33k big deal.

I get what you're saying about anything can happen and why be stuck in a long term loan. But it's also kind of relative, if you think about it, On one hand I have a long term loan and I'm not out any cash upfront, on the other hand I'm out money on the front end to have a short term loan. I've realistically spent fairly close to the same amount of money, but there's just more in my pocket today.

I'm also a fan of anything be offered at 0% interest like when we bought furniture and carpet when moving into our new home. Yeah I had the cash to drop on both no problem, we had been saving for a few years before hand. Instead, I used that cash and did some upgrades on my house and financed my carpet and furniture interest free and paid them both off in a year.

I'm a fan of keeping cash in my pocket today.

No one has ever told me $1800 was a "joke"...Especially people with a pile of money (but then again that's how they made their pile) I got that and more than that as a discount from MSRP on my truck and was ecstatic about it. Although we don't need money at this point I still love a discount. $1800 will never and has never been a joke to me.

Well I don't expect you to understand sir. $1,800 over 6 years is $25 a month. That's peanuts, sure yeah it adds up over time, but in the end it's the cost of borrowing money. When you look at the grand scheme of it all at the end when it's all said it done, it's meaningless. Like I said, I could of afforded to do a short term loan like you and paid a high monthly payment and what like 700-800 in interest give or take. Instead I went 72 keeping a little extra in my pocket each month, a little extra going to retirement each month.
You're missing the whole point, and honesty you're not open to another view of thinking other than your own. You're right and everyone else is wrong.
You don't know other people's situations. All I said was a 72 month loan worked for me. It keeps more money in my pocket upfront, and yes, yes $1,800 in interest over a 6 year period is a joke because guess what I'm keeping extra money in my pocket each month on a lower car payment and kept more in my pocket with out a down payment. Money today is better than money tomorrow.
The more money in my pocket today allows me to do things today.
Obviously we're not gonna agree here, and I don't expect you to. I was really just trying to say that I don't think a 72 month low interest loan is stupid.
You don't agree that's your prerogative, someone else might. If they don't oh well, I chalk that $1,800 up in interest as the cost of doing business.
