    I completely agree and customer service wasn't that great. I ended up buying their lifetime rotating/balance with came out to be about 80$ total for my visit today just so I can take it back anytime if things for any reason worsen and not get stuck paying a another balance charge like I did with this set.

    4 is good, at 8 I would ask for the tires to be remounted. That's half a pound of weight to balance a new tire and wheel. I could understand an old rim and used tire, but not brand new. Something is wrong.

    16+ ounces! Holy sheet, that tire shop needs to be shutdown. Do they really think a pound of rotational mass on each tire is safe? How many weights did they stack on that poor rim? 12 oz weights are so long, you can't accurately stack anything next to them. Sorry, but that is unacceptable and dangerous. What happens when a pound of lead comes off a rim and hits the car behind it? OK, I gotta stop ranting now.

    I agree 100% with you and got into a loud conversation with the manager there. Lol. To make matters even worse 1 of the wheels didn't even have any weights mounted. The new shop I went to refused to dismount the tires because they didn't want to damage the wheels. :/

    I always had good luck with Tire Kingdom on Fowler in Temple Terrace. 3 vehicles serviced and never a scratch. Of course, my last visit was 5 years ago and they may have gone downhill (like the TK in Wesley Chapel). Old school mechanics using old machines, but they always got the job done.

    I learned on the old tire machines and they work just as well as the new stuff. Patience and practice is the key to anything. Plus keeping the machines clean helps a lot. Alloy wheels have been around forever, so I don't see why they were scared of your rims. My guess is they didn't know what they would find inside, so they refused to break them down. Amateurs.

    Your last resort may be to contact the tire manufacturer and ask if they can work with you. That's how I got rid of my Yokohamas and into a set of Michelins.

    All I did was remove my rear tires, deflate and break the bead on the passenger side one so I could clean the grass and rock chips out of it from Hardrock, reinflated it, and then power washed and scrubbed the inner sides of them before putting them back on. :bored:

    In case you missed anything else, there's the Annual Citrus Meet in February and in March there's the Gulches ORV Park Southeast Regional (plus a few guests from the Northeast and Southwest) meet; I'm hoping I can make that one myself, but it's in SoCaro so it'll be a pretty expensive trip even without damage to the OGT.

    I have a thoroughbred tank (still has some gas in it) that the movers won't take. Anyone in the Tampa area can have it if you come pick it up. Has to be this week though. It's not a massive one, but it isn't the smallest one either, was $200 I think when I bought it. Exchange for refills at northern or whoever else does the exchange program. Would appreciate Taco Bell for trade.
