www.ddmtuning.com They have some great stuff, and great staffing. If you are in San Diego you should check out their shop. It's a Beemer performance shop.

The catch is that these are lows only... No high beam here. You can get low beams only for like 40-50 bucks in a lot of places... The bixenons are the ones that are hard to come across.

I found this out the hard way when I bought some a couple weeks ago. Lows only, and these are just like it.

hhmm.. this is tempting. are they still the same quality as the bixenons? My IS300 had stock HIDs that were only low beam, and I loved em. I think a lot of stock HIDs are that way so I dont see the big deal in getting the high beams for the taco.

Is there a shield on the bottom half of the bulb to prevent stray light? Does anyone have a pic of the light cutoff of this kit?

no, that would be responsible HID fitting....:D...these kinds of kits like to use no shields, scatter light everywhere and look like your driving around w/ your brights on all the time...

OP, post the link to where you found them please, then we all can get them awesome HIDz!!

Basing this off the picture the OP posted, they look like the ones from DDMTuning.com. They have the same exact pic of their HID kit for sale... but they have them for $49.99.

I haven't gotten an H4 HID kit from DDMTuning.com, but an H4 low only kit from VVME.com comes with a V-shaped shield below the capsule as well as an added halogen bulb for flashing other people.

I bought an HID kit from DMM Tuning for both my headlight and my Hella 500s last night. Both are 35W, 6000k. Hopefully they will be in before Thanksgiving.

No. Attached is instructions for the HID kit I ordered, and the ones that will fit our stock headlights.

But, in order to put an HID in my Hellas there will be some modification - just minor cuts (nothing to should not cause a problem), but there are some DIYs that will help along the way.

I got mine last week from DDM and instaled them yesterday, 35w High/Low beam 5k color bulb and 55w H3 5k color bulb for the Hella 500ff lights, They look great in the Hellas! and work fine with the stock Hella wire kit, easy mod, took about an hour. The headlights look great too but they sent me two diffrent color bulbs for the headlights. Have a call into DDM to get things right. I would NOT put the 55w ones in the headlights as the 35w is borderline to other drivers. Have not been flashed yet, but they are brite! 110$ delivered for BOTH kits is a killer deal!
