i'd rather not take my pretty much brand new headlights apart and risk anything. it's worth it to me to spend the money, i'm sure i could sell mine to offset some of the cost

That explains everything, of course wides are great for snow! The emperor closes the damn state whenever we get more than a few inches of snow so he may have never tried to go through any deep stuff.

Ok, I'm done. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

    Lolol.

The wrangler pickup concept looks cool. Wheeled with a guy that had the single cab kit on his wrangler. Looked pretty cool

Honestly, it's easier than you'd think it would be. I did mine a year and a half ago. I didn't go crazy with the black and left more areas unpainted than most, so I think mine don't have that aftermarket projector headlight look. My only flaw is that I let some dust get inside the lense before I reinstalled. I occasionally get a smidge of condensation in the exact perfect conditions, but I never actually see a leak. I may reseal them again the next time I think of it.

A lot of people go crazy and paint inside the bulb area above the reflector and other places. I thought it looked a bit more OEM+ to leave it be.

$425 is a lot of money for what they are, but you do get OEM quality. I'd be more tempted to put $425 towards a set of professional retrofits and be done with it.

Check out Depo headlights. They sold them for the Gen 2, not sure if they're making them for the current model or not though. They were quite a bit cheaper and people were having good luck with them. At the very least, you could use them, BHLM your OEM ones and sell off the Depo ones when you're done.

Keep waiting. I've been waiting for one since they axed the Comanche and started teasing us with new pickup concepts in the 90's and 00's.
If they do come out with one, I might be tempted to jump ship... :anonymous:

    Edit-
Had this one on my wall for quite a while a few years back.

Not getting my hopes up. The concept photo I posted was all but a done deal at one point, according to the media. Then it just never happened.

i looked at those and wasn't in love with them. i like the trd pro/sr ones because they're kinda subtle and still oem. i'm not real worried about the cost if it's quality and the look i like, i don't want to overpay though either

I'm the same way, actually. I'm not even crazy about the BHLM most of the time. I've seen some body-color HLM that didn't look too bad, though.

Those look nice but it's still a piece of shit Chrysler product. Terrible reliability!
