    Guys,

I usually don't give endorsements for people, but Rick at RAAM AUDIO deserves your business. Talk about the nicest guy in the world! I asked him for a price quote @ 2am EST. He got back to me within 8 hours and replied to 3 follow-up e-mails throughout a 4 hour period. Excellent communication!

When I couldn't meet the discounted price and I told him what I have avalible to pay, he made a custom package for me that suited my needs.

Not only is this a high-quality product, but this is a guy that does business like it used to be done in the 'ole days...the right way. Don't go anywhere else for sound deadening.

***Note: I am in no way affiliated with Rick or Raam Audio.

He and Marv are very similar people. Some of the most honest and easy to work with guys I have every dealt with in person or through internet sales.

Rick is an absolutely stand up guy. I have never heard of anyone not having a good experience purchasing products from him. He is a standup business man and comes across as a genuinely nice person.

    Holy Thread Revival!

OK didn't want to start a new thread but wondering if anyone had ever done this. I bought a huge roll of Raam this summer and put it on all 4 doors, really happy with the outcome. I was wondering if anyone has ever put it under their hood. I was reading somewhere that people have used Dynamat to do this, so I figure this would work just as well. Has anybody done this on their 2nd gen? Pics?

Not really sure of my motivation to do this except I have a roll of this stuff sitting around and thinking of something to do, and it bothers me there is nothing under the hood...

I am still trying to figure out what you are doing with that crane in your TW Live Posting? Looks like too tight of quarters for wind mills, what are you doing? Who do you work for?

I'm sitting in the job trailer pumping out submittals and RFI's. No wind turbines in downtown Dallas... I work for a large general contractor. Balfour Beatty Construction; we are building a convention center hotel.

But yes Rick is an awesome guy, i got a quote from him about a month ago and he did warn me that shipping may go but but i emailed him and told him how much more did it go up since i was ready to pay. he said it went up but he said he would honor my orginal quote. Awesome man.... I get my stuff in next wed... mmmm a good thanksgiving weekend project, if i wasn't stuck writing a stupid term paper.....

I'd be hesitant to do that for heat reasons. There are some other products that are designed for that. It looks more like insulation with a foil backing.

Correct. You can pick up other brands that are designed for firewall or hood applications. I've always used Second Skin Audio, but have heard some good stuff about raam.

I've been a lurker for a little while here, but might as well make my first post a positive one.

+100 for Rick. He really is a stand up & knowledgeable guy. I met him via NASIOC.com . I RAAMatted my WRX and the product did exactly what it was supposed to, quieted everything down immensely and helped my system sound significantly better.

Actually, I am in the market for a Taco now and when I find it, it will surely get a solid RAAMat and Ensolite treatment.
