    Nice, GNX?
I buy what I'm into, I expect to turn a wrench or two. Won't buy a Dodge Ram again though lol. Can we even consider a Domestic just that anymore these days? IMO we cannot. Global economy, need each other for the most part these days. That said, love the rumble of a well built motor everyday of the week!

Yep, that is a GNX. I was infatuated with those cars when I was in high school, now I lean more towards German engineering.

Don't blame ya, some of those old school cars still cool as hell, and I buy if I could today. Probably wouldn't buy anything new from our so called Domestics though lol. Most are just boring.

I think in a few years, as aluminum bodied cars and trucks become more prevalent, the body shop issues will go away. That's pure speculation on my part by the way. But speculation is what TW is all about!

I've always been a Ford guy, but I have bought other things when it suited my needs. I've had a Honda, this is my second Toyota, and I had a Mazda. I've had 5 Mustangs and currently have a 2015 GT. I bought this Tacoma because it was one of only a few choices in this size - it fit the need, and Toyota quality is known. That being said, if Ford had the new Ranger available, I might have gone that way purely out of brand loyalty - if the price was competitive. Since they have nothing to offer me in this size right now, Toyota was my only choice. I'm not buying a GM product and I wasn't impressed by the Nissan.

Supposedly they are testing US spec versions at the Ford testing grounds in Australia right now, and there are rumors that one of the Michigan plants is getting tooled up to produce them. I would guess they would be here 2018 at the earliest.

I've owned plenty of foreign and domestic. Most reliable was my Chevy Silverado. Just went on with very few issues over 120K+ miles of my ownership. I've had as many issues with my 2013 Tacoma in the 14K miles that I've owned it so far as I did with my Chebby. They all have issues. I've had VW's, Ford Rangers, Subarus, Jeeps, Land Rovers, Porsches, older and newer Chevys, Dodge.....They all had their issues. I buy what I like. Not a fan boy.

I have been driving Toyotas since 1980. I bought my wife a 2011 SS Camaro $40K for a retirement gift. It leaked when I washed it and when it rained it poured in. The heater core leaked in the floorboard and they had to pull the windsheild out and the whole dash to fix it. It rattled like hell after that. The seat felt like you were sitting on a 2x10 board. The torque converter would not lock up at 45 mph and it vibrated like hell. I took it to the shop 4 times for the vibration and they said it was normal. After 3 months and 4K miles I had enough and traded it for a corolla S. I had to trade it to keep my blood pressure under control. I lost $8K, an expensive lesson.

Bought my wife a 2011 Buick Enclave brand new. It's had a valve, oxygen sensor and the entire steering replaced including a bent strut as well as a switch assembly. It was in 5 times for service by September, 4 times we left with loaners. There are 37,000 miles on it. I am trading I'm 2007 Camry for my 2016 trd sport. My Camry owned since new has gotten brakes and tires and I'm at 105,000. We honestly didn't feel the confidence in GM to give the Sierra a shot.

Damnn are the dealerships marking them up that bad? Highest MSRP I could get a GT350 on Ford's website was 59k... they start at 47k...

Ahh I gotcha. 1 US dollar = 1.39 Canadian dollars currently. Congrats on the GT350 though, it looks epic on paper.

I think i would buy a old domestic Hot Rod, or Muscle Car since those kinds of things are never really finished and your always working on them more for fun then dependability. As far as daily or work trucks, besides Toyota I would drive a new ford Diesel.

I had a 2015 GMC Canyon for 8 whole months. Nice damn truck, but I wouldn't trust it past the warranty. Having owned 4 Toyotas before it, I felt like I didn't belong in it. Of course, in 2016, there will be all kinds of idiots lined up to pay a $3700 premium for 5 more mpg and 1000 lbs more towing capacity with the diesel. Good luck to them...

Have any issues with it idling erratically, GF has an 02 escape and I've replaced all the vacuum lines, Pcv, idle air control valve, crank position sensor, spark plugs, gaskets, all 6 coil packs, watched every you tube video and still no luck.

I can't get over the new Chevy commercial where they show the car to customers all de-badged. It looks nice! Leather appointed, tech do-dads, impressive appearance. Everyone thinks it's a Lexus or Acura. Then they reveal its a Chevy Malibu or something starting at only 22k; pretty impressive! Except in the tiny white writing at the bottom it says $36000 as shown. What a joke! Who would spend 36k on a Chevy car?! You could go ahead and get the reliability of Lexus or Acura for that.

I am Done. The Corvette and an HHR years ago cured me of GM and their service and just little things falling off or failing. Ignition recall.
All my Fords suffered from Pre Ignition in the desert. Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Mazda are my go to vehicles anymore.
