If you have a Relentless Fab plate bumper on you 98-00 Tacoma, please post some pictures of if. I am interested in a plate bumper, and I like theirs best. I have seen the few pictures on the web site, but I wanna see your trucks!

Here are the photos from Relentless Fab's website.

This is my favorite, although I don't want the grill and headlight hoops.

    Those are nice bumpers.
If you can't get one, check out Shrock Works bumpers, I ended up with one. The fit and shape are very similar.
    Nice to have options.

    Good luck.

It was an easy enough build. The mounting is good. Time to ship was good because it was DIY, not sure how long it takes for a built one. I would purchase one again.

I emailed him, he said currently there was a 6 month wait for a built bumper.

How wide is the bumper? I don't have fender flares on my truck. Also, how far does it stick out from the grill, does it stick out much farther than the OEM bumper?

    Thanks!

Here you go. I have since removed the PIAA plastic grills. The OEM bumper stuck out more than this. Better approach angle for sure.

That's a good looking set up. Very clean, plain, and simple.

My concern with that bumper is winch access. The Relentless bumper has round hand holes so you can switch it from free to lock.

You can do the same with mine too. The lock/ unlock lever is to the RT of the winch, just reach in and you're there.
I have my winch solenoids & wireless remote under the hood.

Yours hand holes are just under the flate plate that the winch rope comes out of?

Sort of... the hole is to the RT of the license plate.

The sides would stick out around 1 1/2 to 2" without any flares most likely. Not that much when you actually see it in person. As for how far it sticks out at the front, it's the minimum amount to be able to house a winch in the bumper.

Definitely go Relentless. That is my black truck in original post. I will have my relentless on my double cab in a few weeks

Bump for some rad dudes. This bumper is beefy, it's seen plenty of rocks, it's been backed into by a few cars, it was the point of attachment when the tow truck pulled the truck from being upside-down on the side of a mountain, and still looks good doing it. I got the DIY kit, went together quite well and without much headache. I still have yet to weld in the recovery points, I was going to do that last winter, but was occupied with other projects. It'll probably happen soon.

At some point soon I'm going to extend the center bar, and add some side wings similar to how ARB's side bars are. Just need to order the tube.

I really like how far it DOESN'T stick out past the front, it's really well tucked against the front end, keeping things high and tight. The tube here is 1.75", and is inset 1/2" from the front edge, and has roughly 1" between the tube and grill.

It's worth the wait, it's also worth finding a local welder who'll burn it in for you.

Thanks, but I can do that myself as well. I built the bumper originally and do a bunch of fab work otherwise, I just need motivation.
