Now if the relay can run on say 9V. then you could put a 3V zener diode from red to ground. This would allow the red pin to regulate at 3V but still pass whatever current the relay draws at the remaining voltage across it (approximately 9V). Then change the resistor on the LED to allow 20mA at 3V instead of 12V and it should work. 3V is plenty to light a small LED like that.

Dangit, I knew that. I meant to put the led and resistor in parallel to the line going to the red wire. .

LOL no.. you just have a wire across the LED and resistor... current will take the path of least resistance. you will get nothing through the LED. The way I mentioned above with the zener diode is the only way.

@nastyneight How much lift did you get from those dakars? I want to slightly increase load capacity in the rear as well as level the front to eliminate rake. Really don't want to lift the front to high and start having problems. Trying to explore options.....

Woodlands is no more but has been replaced by McKethan Bros. BBQ. It's pretty good, they also carry a few Booneshine beers on draft which is the newest brewery in town.
Lost Province is great if you like wood-fired pizza and craft beer. Best burger is going to be the bison burger at Blowing Rock Brewery/Inn, also the best porter in the area if you like dark beers. Appalachain Mtn Brewery is decent and the Farm-to-Flame food truck is there, never eaten that though. Coyote Kitchen is good and reasonably priced, huge portions. Proper is awesome if you are looking to have a more upscale dinner. And Our Daily Bread is IMHO one of the best sandwhich shops in the state. As for hikes, I'd recommend Elk Knob State Park, 1.9 miles to the summit but it's very cool. Dress warm though, weather can be several degrees colder and windy at the peak. Also lots on places to hike off the BR parkway. Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks man! Although you broke my wife's heart now that she knows Woodlands is no more haha
