what would you guys buy if you had around $2000 to spend and your looking for semi good performance/cool factor, and 3 inches of lift. ive considered icon stage 2 set up and ive looked at toytec boss. which will add more height? any better/other options out there? planning on total chaos ucas, down the road but just running stock for a while.

ps. it sucks that we can tell how much lift were buying on a 2016 vs. 2015. I guessing this early on any coil over set advertised as a 3 inch set up equals a 2" lift on a 2016? thanks in advance guys

ps.ps. im pulling my brand new KO2s off my 2010 and slapping them on the 2016 so I need to get 305/70/17s to fit w/o cutting any metal. can it be done?!

No get the 5100's for the rear with the 1-inch block. Don't do a block with stock shocks.

Ok great. Are there any recommended blocks out there are are they all pretty comparable and I should just take whatever the shop has?

Has anyone installed the King OEM Performance Series kit on their 2016? If so, how much lift did you get? Pictures?

We just installed the Boss kit on our 16 and managed to get just over two inches of lift in the front (could have gone further but opted not unless we have to). So far it appears to drive as well or better than our 2015 Taco with the same kit (albeit without the 2.5 front coilovers and upgraded rear shocks). We did have to do a rather comprehensive body mount chop and trim job to fit the 35's but thus far we have less rubbing than we did on the last truck with 33's which underwent the same procedure.

    * I am going to clean up the fender liner and trimmed areas to make it look like it never happened, just haven't had time yet...

It's a 3" lift. If you're not rubbing now, you should be fine with an additional .85" if you're going to run the same size tire. If you jump to 285/70/17, then you might have to cut

    Thanks for reply

    Going with 285/70/17 for sure,
Was hoping it would clear with .85 settings on 5100.
Since I have plenty room with stock shocks and 265/70/17
They only measure about 3/4 in taller same width

Get the Toytec Signature Series. They are sweet! You will also need U-bolts as described on the Toytec site.
If you do the .85 setting on the front with stock coils you will have to do some trimming to go offroad. You might be okay on the street without trimming... maybe. Let us know how it turns out!
Do you think you will ever take the plunge? It would be a hard decision for me if I already had your truck!

    Sweet, no worries.
Hey cant go wrong with a Jeep. Women seem to like them. My wife has a Grand and will never let it go she's in love with the creature comforts and the ability to drive over curbs and highway shoulders ha.

Yeah I could imagine it's no highway princess. Kinda sucks we cant have it all can we?

Follow up question: Would 285/70/17 fit on my build?
    (5100's @ 1.75 and the 1" block you linked?)

My wife went with the Cherokee trail hawk with all the options. Its fast. has lots of fancy stuff. Glass roof, heated mirrors, seats, steering, AWD and 4 low and locking diff, subwoofer, lift, all terrain tires, comes with black rims, remote start, navi. The Tacoma didn't stand a chance.... Sucks cuz that's what I wanted her to get and I had a deal with BAMF for it to be a sponsored truck. Whatever. I still have a sick truck and its up for build of the year. if anyone wants to through votes my way.

It will be tight. I'd say yes you can fit them as people have stock but it will rub with suspension flex and possibly on the upper control arm depending on wheels. You can most likely make it work with some trimming and the correct wheels but it won't be a bolt on walk in the park.
I am sure it's super nice. I am married so I completely understand trust me. I have already voted for you. It is one nice ass truck you have!

Will the driver side correct the lean for the drive side rear also?
