Always had a place in my heart for a 90's 5.0 with the trunk. Done right they were always the perfect sleeper. But I would still rather have an 04 IS 300 Lexus.....But shhhh....don't tell

My '79 was the opposite but I liked the trunk because it wasn't common. Always dreamed of buying another one from that gen and doing something with it

Yeah growing up a friend of mine went from a Mustang GT to T/A with a 5.7 TPI and then back to a Mustang LX. The Mustangs were a more raw or basic car and the T/A was like a hella fast grand tour car. He went back to the Mustang because he wanted to drag race the car.

I had a 1984 Camaro after high school, that thing would eat Mustangs for a snack.

It was because I never learned. Had the 305 4 barrel, last year before they went TPI. Not sure how but it was hopped up and was a DEA undercover car

I'm actually starting to casually look for something to replace the STi. It would have to be the absolute perfect version, but I'm starting to look at the 90-96 Nissan 300ZX TT T-Top. From some cursory reading, it seems like the earlier ones are a better car than the later ones, but I still have to figure that out. I like the idea of a dedicated sports/GT car with a removable roof. As crazy as this sounds, I'm over having a silly fast car. That's not to say I want something slow, but 0-60 times just don't mean as much as they used to for me.

I found a bone stock black on black one last spring that I should have jumped on, but can't cry over missed opportunities. The hardest thing will be finding one that is completely rust free and stock. I'm hoping someone purchased one new and treated it as a weekend cruiser in good weather only.

That being said, the STi wouldn't even go on the market until I had a replacement parked next to it, and the thought of selling that car terrifies me because of the delightful people I will most likely encounter if/when I list it.

Nice. I had a 81 datsun 280ZX as a kid. Rustbucket and a half but loved it. Always wanted an 80's 300 for that reason

Newer cars are fine. The go like hell, stop and are pretty reliable compared to the old crap. Always wanted to take a newer mustang for a spin.
But... being an old fart set in my ways, nothing like driving a primitive relic that doesn't handle, stops like crap, and you constantly have to tweek.
To me at least, pulling up to a light with an old dinosaur with a lumpy cam that shakes the whole car, headers and a big mofo 4 barrel is da shitz. IMHO,lol.

Same. If I'm going to have something I only drive in the summer, it's going to be an old lump of Detroit.

Those're fun. They corner like they're on rails and they've got great power if you go for the BMW-built 6 cylinder option. :notsure:

    Torque steer for days, though.

They are fun. My sister had one for a while.
She is also original owner of a Z-3. I like driving that car.
