Not sure about 2015, SRC's wiring code sure worked well for my 2013....and based on that, now understand why I could never get the SWC box to work! Which with this unit, you do not need, as wired per his instructions, and got my SWC back after 2 years of hit/miss with my Kenwood.

The only wireless mirror link is with the iPhone. Our androids unfortunately have to be plugged in everytime. I could see where it's a pain for you. I love it though. I have unlimited data so I have internet everywhere.

There's nothing Tacoma-specific about this HU, it's just like any other radio.

Yea I guess that makes sense..guess we were more wondering if someone had done it already to borrow the lessons learned..I may go this route..but I've got to see if I can mount it higher in the dash..doest the screen tilt at all or no?

Sorry about your luck, it sounds like you got a bad unit.

I've had no issues at all with mine and it has been running very smooth. I've installed a custom ROM and am using Nova Launcher which is a nice touch over the factory launcher. I'm loving how much I am able to customize things to the way I like it. I've been using Google Play Music and Poweramp for my music without any issues. There is a lot of information available on these units over on the xda-developers website.

Anyone with an iPhone use this unit. Looked at buying a new Tundra and they are trying to jack me on my trade hard core so I'm just going to keep my Tacoma now and get a good head unit with bluetooth and throw in some speakers.

I am extremely intrigued by this. I have a 2015 SR5, and from what I am seeing here, it looks like I can install this unit and still retain the use of my factory back up cam, and my factory phone microphone?

Also, one question. While looking on Amazon, I see that the majority of you have installed the same unit, however, joying makes several units, this one http://www.amazon.com/Automotive-Un...50375256&sr=8-1&keywords=joying+android+4.4.4 claims to be their newest unit, anyone have any info or experience with this model? Thoughts?

    Thanks.

I think i have mentioned this before but ill be looking to play around with http://pixen.net/productspec4.2.html soon. It has amazing features, and has a built in DSP as well http://pixen.net/dsp.html. What i like about it is the DVR, On/off line GPS and OBD2. IM waiting for the 8core model to be released then ill get a sample unit through Shok distribution and play around with it

So after enjoying this unit for a couple weeks, it has decided to not to work. It comes on but stays on the logo screen. Contacted joying and was told to download the updates and install them. Did that with no results, waiting on a response from them on what to do next. Anyone experiencing this?

Yep. Did it twice. Also tried to restore from backup. Heard back from them quickly on the first email but nothing for 2 days now.

If you didn't find updating the firmware too complicated, have a look at this. That is the ROM that I'm running. Make sure you choose the right version for your unit. The RK3188 ROM's are in the second post and instructions at the top of the posts. Once installed, go to settings and do a factory reset. This ROM changes the partition so you have more space for apps and stuff. The partition didn't adjust until I did the factory reset. Read carefully though, you can brick your unit with this stuff.
