I have the factory tonneau on my new Tacoma, and while it does the job just fine, I much prefer the Pace Edwards bedlocker (link below.) This system is electric, fits flush, and allows the cover to retract/stop in any position. Since I already had one on my 2012 I knew this was the system I wanted, but was worried that it would not fit correctly since the rails have the cutout for the OEM system. Pace Edwards was great with getting their engineers access to the new 2016 and tested it with the factory cover as well. Really excited for my order to come in and be installed by my local dealer.

I think this is what many people who have issues with their products need to do. It's about adjusting and getting the correct fit in order for most products to function properly.

now the way mine was installed, they used the flair as the mount point for the mounts and filled in the gaps with rubber and foam. the other person that installed an access from what I can tell used the oem bed rail prior to the flair as the mount point, hence the dremel action he had to do.

In the bright light of day I finally figured out how to install my Access Original cover properly. Instructions were good after all. Cover now properly installed and looking good.

I cannot speak for the Tacoma, but I had the tri-fold cover on my 13 F-150 and never noticed any noise.

Did you have to trim off any of the side rail back by the tail gate where it flares out??

No, just bolted it on and it works. Might need to seal tge front corners, say a few drops in the bed after washing the truck. Other than that it's awesome.

I dont see the Gator FX3 as available. They only list the cheaper vinyl one that sits on top.

Thanks! Bakflip should be out soon too. Choice 1 is Bakflip F1, But Gator is is in the running also. Really like the looks of the Bakflip VP but its vinyl and dont want to go there.

I like both gator fx5 or bakflip vp but also have been looking at the revolution roll up also. But I think that may be to much cash.

What is the difference between bak and undercover flex? They look practically the same with only very subtle differences. I currently own the Bak Fibermax for my 2014.
