If you can get it back cheap it would be fun to tinker with, depends on how mechanical you are, you can do some tests to see if things still work properly. Could be some electrical, If you didnt try to run it while underwater but did sit in the water a while then you probably dont have much wrong internaly. Drain EVERYTHING, oil, coolent, Trans, replace fuses. Clear the cylinders and new plugs. Put fresh stuff back in. I have done some water crossing with my 96 4runner and have sucked enought water to kill the motor, blew water out my cylinders and tail pipe, I have sat in water up to my floor, electronics have been Soaked and still work to this day. but newer trucks are a diffrent beast.

Like i said if you can get it back cheap do it. Tinker with it, dosent work then part it out or do entire swap.
But if your not a mechanic type, dont even bother. Take the money and get a new truck.

Dog friendly, with dog snot on inside windows, with of course a/c! Mag 16 inch wheels from a Mazda.
My brother-in-law took me to a car auction. There were a group of cars and trucks with steam up windows on the inside. He mentioned about flood damaged cars and said they're a waste of money. It'll never be the same, you'll be continually pouring money into it. All those electrical connections will start to slowly corrode over time. Things will work, then they won't work. Why do you think the insurance company totaling it? Sorry for your loss, how much do you want for the back sliding window?

People here asking for parts crack me up.. He's getting PAID for a total. What do you think he can just start striping parts off the thing to sell? That'll go over good with the insurance company. It's called insurance fraud. LOL!

That really sucks.. a 2009 TRD DC must be worth a decent chunk of change. Make sure the insurance co doesn't low ball you on the payout, because you know the bastards are gonna try.

Maybe you sucked water into fuel, So you need to drain whole system. Also ther could be some water in spots that shorts electrical system. Run check on everything in fuse box.
Flooded vehicles are salvageable just need meticulous cleaning and check.

It would have kept him from sucking in water and stalling the engine. Without other mods you'd still have issues with water getting into places lower than the snorkel inlet, affecting electrical and driveline components.

Did you stop in the middle of that crossing or get stuck? Seems like that crossing is doable if you're rolling behind the bow wave and have traction.
