Look for my truck! I'll be there. I'm just now realizing how different driving on ice is for a pick up truck. I need sand bags before mammoth.
Yeah he took shit care of it and only washed it once in 7 years. But I got it cheap and with low miles and it's a 4x4. No complaints but I wish it was an Off Road instead of a sport.

Hey look guys I'm off road!

Thanks! Can't wait to get sliders in a couple months. Feel like it will become much more capable.

Has anyone on here ever had a "good" experience at Toyota of SB? I genuinely liked the guy who sold me the truck, but since the actual sale, every experience I've had there has been disappointing. The latest episode:

I brought my truck in for a 10K miles service, service was completed, no big deal. When I got my truck back, I was missing a single glove, from a pair of really nice snow gloves, that was in my center console. Again, no big deal... Called them to talk to Jim, my service advisor, to let him know, and he said he'd look into it. Called them back the next day, Jim wasn't there, but they said they'd have him call me the next day when he's back. No call the next day, so I called...no Jim. Nobody seemed to be able to find out who the tech was working on my truck. Fast forward two weeks, still no call from Jim, so I call, and Jim says "We didn't find any gloves..." I said "Ok, but why didn't you return any of my calls to let me know" Jim said "It's been busy"... Jim then proceeds to tell me that I'm shit out of luck, they are unwilling to do anything, and that I now must go buy new gloves...

I just left a message for his boss, the Service Manager, letting her know that I'm genuinely dissatisfied with the service I received, and asked her if they'll compensate me for the value of the gloves ($60).

I'll report back and let you know what happens. I don't really care about the gloves, just the lack of quality customer service. Fucking pisses me off.

Just went in yesterday to see if they could do the rear spring TSB, pretty much told me I was SOL as well. Something about the DOT hasn't approved the new springs to fix or some shit like that. He had no idea, he was talking out of his ass. Nice guy, just didn't know what he was saying. He said the DOT was part of the USDA...
They will be checking my frame for rust on Thursday... I guess I'll clean out the truck of anything remotely valuable.

Can't say I've ever had a really *good* experience.. Most are average. When I had my '07 DCLB I had some pretty bad ones...

*edit* Best of luck getting some compensation for the missing glove!

The day I bought my truck was a "good" experience I guess. haha. Since then they have left an oil catch can in my engine bay and lost one my my lugs. And they STILL don't have the lug adapters (OEM locking lugs) to take off my wheels to rotate them. They always call and ask where in the truck mine are

All in all, they seem pretty useless. the people are nice though. haha. Once my free oil changes are all used, I probably wont be going back

Agreed. The wheel locks thing tripped me out too, last time my truck was there the service guy had to call me 3 times to ask where the wheel lock key was, where the spare wheel key was, and to tell me that they can't rotate in my spare for free... right. I'm trying to get a bed mat 1/2 off for the gloves issue, and I can't wait to let my warranty run out so I can stop taking my truck there.

Bed Mats are great as long as you don't haul heavy stuff. They don't let anything slide. Getting my leaf pack in and out of the bed was tough.

    Am I doing this right?
I haven't had any bad experiences with them at all. Have had my truck serviced there 3 times and I am due for another service in 2k miles. Everything has been pretty smooth. But maybe all hell will be let loose next service there

Well, at Toyota of sb right now. Dropped the truck off at 9am, said for sure done by noon. Came back and watched them pull it into the bay as the clock turned to 12:00. 10 minute frame inspection.... 3+ hours. I did see the service rep (Brian) visibly get ticked at the techs because they let it sit. But idk how it al works at a dealership. For what it's worth Brian is nice, wait time is a little long though to say the least!
