    In the troop @GARSHA91 and I were in, one of the leaders lied about being an Eagle Scout but still would stand up and mumble the oath at eagle courts etc. Pathetic.

    Y'all a bunch of young'uns. Earned mine in 1979. Brother before me in 1974, and brother after me in 1982. Me and older brother were OOA, but younger one was looking to get out at that point. We all did multiple years at Massawepie, up in the Adirondack Mtns. I still have all my awards and badges around here someplace.

    When my younger brother made Eagle, my mother got an official looking certificate (auto-signed, I'm sure) from the White House. Accompanying letter said something to the effect of, "you must be doing it right, keep up the good work".
