that is not a decent deal. You can find lots of that model with those packages all over socal. Start emailing and find the best deal. I would hold out for 1000 off msrp for that

Would love your opinions! Tacoma shoppers!! This seems like a (very?) good deal to me, actually is below invoice. Result of shopping around within 100 miles the last month.

I think we'll end up having to order this:

    2016 TRD DC OR A/T (#7544 - $31,249 / $33,730
    • Prem + Tech $2074 /$2330
    • Towing $579 / $650
    • Mudguards $95 / $140
    • Door Sills / All Weather Mats $209 / $309
    • Predator Tube Step $479 / $649

    $38,617 MSRP
    Sales price $34,800.37 + 499.50 DH + TTL

OTD price (Colorado, 7.63% sales tax) $38,020.45

I'm going to opt for JBL, which (Based on invoice) should add $627 to the sales price.

No other discounts that I can see - I'm not military, fleet, etc. Just the result of competition. Most of the details I spoke with initially claimed they were selling these at MSRP all day long, which may be true -- the trucks seem to sell within a few days at most.

    Total invoice $34,685
    Sales price $34,800 + 500 DH

Looks like total dealer profit would be around $615 + holdback + whatever other Toyota incentives the dealers receive.

    Good deal?

Not a bad deal. I would suggest ditching the premium tech and get 4x4 instead.

Yes, it is 4x4. That's such a low price, it probably threw off Z50King. You are getting pretty much exactly what I got (I did get JBL) but you have about $500 more worth of accessories. That's a smoking deal. I paid just under $37,000 (cash price) not including all the California taxes and fees and I got a pretty good deal. The price they are quoting is unheard of here in California. Make sure you keep your eye on the out-the-door price, make sure they aren't hosing you on the trade, and make sure you aren't getting screwed on your loan. Those are the three ways they make their money and they will play the shell game to get it from you one way or another.

If that's a legit deal, I would take it.

If that's a 4x4, you are getting around 4000 off MSRP

I have the quote in writing from another dealership; sent it to a local one and asked if they can match or beat it.

Up until this point, this dealership has told me "MSRP all day long" and now it's "That seems reasonable, I think we can do that".

    :)

    So we will see!

The dealership I used traded to get this one for me. It had some options I didn't want but I liked it nonetheless so I bought it. The dealership it came from also had the front door windows tinted to match the rear door and back glass. I didn't get charged for that. The out the door price was $35,121.

I negotiated for about a month and pitted the dealerships against each other. Ordered a new TRD offroad with all the options at dealer invoice + TTL + Fees ($500 DH) in Colorado Springs.

Managed to negotiate a deal on a Tacoma DoubleCab 4x4 TRD Off Road with Tow Package and mud flaps for $31,800. Is this a good deal?

If this is in fact a 4X4, buy it immediately before someone else does.

Yes, I certainly did. Part of the Costco buying program is that you are presented with an invoice sheet showing exact invoice for each line item. Those numbers all matched the OP numbers perfectly. My understanding is that if your buying in GST or SET regions those numbers aren't exactly reliable due to Toyota not controlling distribution, but it's still close enough to work with.

Yeah, it definitely is four wheel drive. I had to order it though and put down a deposit on it.

stupid question, but does Toyota make the SR 4x4 v6 model? I have not seen one yet, nor I can I build one on Toyota.com. I would love to get that, I just don't need all of the upgrades in the higher end models

Dealership has a TRD OR DCSB 4x4 with no additional options on the way to the lot and told me 34,500? Should I walk or buy? Or try to get them to throw in some extras for free?
