The 5100s are installed and I love the look and feel. The drive home was really smooth. A slight difference then stock but nothing major. Still very smooth. I went with Hankook Dyna Pro ATm 65/70/17 tires. Something a little more aggressive but still nice on the road. After I wash, clay, polish, wax and seal I'll take a better picture.

Shoot I just might forget the OME 885 coils and go with . 85 setting. If I don't like it I can always add the coils later. I just want to do it right the first time. I always read people saying the should have got coils along with the bilsteins.

885s and 5100s at .85 are very different lift heights.

I will. Tomorrow is a detailing day so I'll have better angles for you. I was trying to get home before the sun set.

    That's 2+ inches.

    .85 is approximately .85 inches.

Any DCSB 4x4's running 5100's and 885s at 0? I've got both sitting in my garage, wondering if I should stick with my 1.5 wheelers AAL or throw on the AP 3" lift standard pack

Meh, you're here, and weight is roughly the same. Just looking for a rough guestimate.

The 2016 is 1" higher than before, so you would only be gaining 1 - 1.5" If I'm not mistaking.

How would a 2.5" lift coil suddenly become a 1.5" lift coil because the third generation Tacoma sits 1" higher than a second gen?

    It's a 2.5" coil, over stock height.

Whatever stock height is in comparison to something else makes no difference.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/what-you-need-to-know-about-lifting-a-2016-tacoma.395798/

Well since the suspension is now 1 inch higher is the travel range, its actually 1 inch "lift" from the factory. The limit of the suspension is still the same 3 inches of lift so this means that over a factory 2016, you can only do a true 2 inch over how it comes from the factory. Technically you could adjust some coilovers to the full 3 inches of lift over factory but then you would end up with hardly any down travel left in the coilover and you are going to be hitting full extension on the shock all the time.

As of right now, we have tested a couple different versions of our BOSS suspension and our Bilstein coilover setup. The mounting is all they same so they bolt right up. Mainly is the lift heights that are slightly different.

Our TTHA-CK Bilstein coilover setup that is not adjustable gave a 22.5 inch hub to fender measurement. So compared to factory ride height, its only 1.5 inches higher. But it actuality, its really a 2.5 inch lift when compared to a 2nd gen.

Yes it's a 2.5" lift but you would only gain 1.5" from where your at now.

Thought I would share a couple pics of my DC LB 4x4 Sport. Installed the 5100's up front and set to 1.75. Probably going to do a 1-inch block in the back but it looks pretty good as is.

Three pics in three different parking lots to get a good idea of how it sits as-is. Only looks bro'd out when I have a little weight in the bed. Check it out.

I have a Limited which has the sr5 shocks. I dont want to lift the truck but want better shocks and road handling and less bumpiness. Will putting these 5100's make any difference on the road? I would not lift and keep the stock springs. Thanks.

Got my new lift installed today!

Bilstein 5100's on all 4 corners (Front set to 1.75)
Toytec 1" blocks in the rear

Worked out to about 1/4" of rake

I've also done the custom mesh grill mod, OEM Predator side steps, vinyl tailgate letters, air dam delete, derped my badges and the chrome bumper sections.

Next up is wheels and tires. I've got TRD Pros in the mail and plan to do 275/70/17 KO2's.
