I want another track car, but something that I could use for both autocross and rallycross, and possibly hooning in general. I think a celica all trac would be pretty cool kept pretty much stock except for suspension and chassis improvements

I've owned 6 MINIS over the last 10 years, have two right now. I love MINIs but the Clubman.... Not sure why anyone would prefer one, especially now that MINI makes a 4-door version of the regular MINI.

Something old would be on my lottery list, but what I'd want doesn't fit in the budget. A legit 1970 Chevelle SS LS-6 is the price of a house these days, unfortunately. I'd love to build the Mad Max Pursuit Special, but the price of the XB Falcon has climbed a ton over the past few years as well.

I wouldn't mind one of those minis. They rip around pretty good. I always wanted an MG but I can't afford to project vehicles at once

I would opt for a standard Mini S but with a wheelchair I am in dire need of room. Part of the deal. The Clubman is the best of both worlds..... All wheel drive would be great in the winter (not planning to drive it in the winter) but that option is famous for sapping hp.

CAM37.....any suggestions of model years I should avoid? I have been trying to stay newer that 2011 in my search. I think that is when the motor changed. I should know better than to read online forums but "death rattle" and excessive oil usage are things that concern me as an unminieducated guy.

just an fyi for anyone who was thinking about doing the oil undercoating in nh, i only found out because they did a confirmation call and said "concord" on the phone. called back because everything online says they're in deering, they moved to 267 south main st behind arno's dry cleaner. way easier to get to than deering! (i forget who was asking about it before)

I'm having Fluid Film done at my oil change guy. He is apparently authorized and charges $175. Does that sound right? I don't wanna do that crap job.

Do you have a compressor? You can get the kit for much less than that and DIY it. I did my whole truck in less than an hour with my sprayer. I want to touch up the rocker panels, doors and tailgate, but it's honestly very simple.

If you ever sell the STI, let me know. I love that body style and I know it's been meticulously maintained. It'll have a nice warm home in my garage, and I can kick the shit out of my neighbors STI across the street!

If you are a person who avoids the first model year after a major model update, then don't buy a new Clubman this year, they are going thru a major change. If you go with the 4-door MINI with the model designation F56, this is their second year in production.

Prior to the F56, the MINIs were R56 and some of the earlier ones, 2007-10 had an engine that was prone to intake valve clogging. So two door Hardtop MINIS or the MINI Clubman, I would recommend 2011-13. You can go with the brand new four door if you like the look of the new F56... it still hasn't grown on me.

The MINIs I've owned with no major issues:
2006 R50 Cooper (base model) with CVT (had two of those)
    2005 R53 Cooper S Convertible (supercharger)
2005 R50 Cooper (base model) with manual transmission -still have this one, 107,000 miles and counting
    2012 R60 Countryman S All-4 (turbocharger) auto transmission
2013 R56 JCW (turbocharger) with 6 speed manual (JCW = fast and awesome)

Find any good foresters in the 15-16k range?
