This looks like a great place to interact with other Tacoma enthusiasts.
My name is David Ryan and I've been a Toyota kid for about 8 yrs. We have a 07 Highlander and up until very recently had a 92 4X4. The 92 had a freshly rebuilt engine and transmission. The body was literally dentless. The interior including the headliner were in excellent condition.
Very nice little truck. I expected to drive it for another 300k miles or more.
Sadly my little red autobot pickup was rear ended and subsequently totalled....leaving me with a crappy rental car.
Naturally I planned to buy another Toyota and it didn't take long to find myself a 2001 Tacoma.
It's been to my mechanics who put it through the paces including all diagnostics and told me I found a very nice truck.
I will miss the 92, it used to amaze me how random people would offer to buy it from me on the spot. We're most likely going to buy the title back and part it out. I'm attaching a pic of my new (to me)2001. At least it's red ...lolimage1.jpg

If you want white/clear corner headlights, we could always trade. I like the look of the orange ones.
    These are what I got

Also, interested in the touch screen stereo. I am getting one in the future. So don't forget to tell us what you buy and how it performs.

Your right...the orange ones look good.
thanks..but I think I will keep things as they are for now. Especially since the hood, fenders, grill and lights were all recently replaced.
I like the led tail lights that are available through. :)
I may look into that too.

Kenwood and JVC both have a unit I'm interested in.
Theyre both about $300. The JVC comes with a backup camera.
I'LL definitely share with the group how that goes.

Sorry to bother you again, but do you have a link to the JVC unit? I can't find it for the life of me.
