I have the vibration of the steering wheel that is very annoying, to say the least. To those of us with the problem we don't feel "amplified"; on the contrary, we feel rather ignored. Since we are being told that the problem is normal, I guess you have an abnormal truck. Congratulations. Glad you aren't having the problem. Want to trade?

    Actually:

So if you know it's going to offend...

However the mods have left the third gen thread to burn. So who cares

    ...too much shit to list.
And hence the word "likely" which is subjective.

Honestly, I'm just here for the laughs. I just figured I'd point out that the code of conduct has gone right out the window, through the woods, and has been mauled by wolves as far as the third gen forum is concerned. Everything on here is subjective. The mods deem what violates the code of conduct, this is their playground, so it's best to just stand back and laugh. If anything, that's what I learned here.

 1st and 2nd gen are technical forums. 3rd is speculation and innuendo, fueled by a lack of owners of 3rd gen vehicles and trolls from other fora users.

Really, it's best just to just bump actual tech threads and not reply to bad ones.

How's that saying go; You go to the beach and have a great day, you may tell one person. Go to the beach and see a shark and you'll tell 10. Same applies here.

We're more attuned to the issues reported because were reading about them and going out and looking for problems in our trucks. We're like doctors out there self diagnosing our trucks and looking for every little thing. I'm guilty of it also. Yes, there are legit issues being reported, but this isn't limited to first year vehicles. Happens every single year, with every single car. The only difference here is folks are frothing at the mouth waiting for any issue to pop up and thinking it's widespread and "omg, first year body style, run for your lives".

First 400 miles of my F250 I had 2 injectors take a shit while I was on the freeway. Reading the Ford forums and telling my story, you'd think my truck was going to fall apart sooner than later. 120K miles later and not one problem to report. Not even a burnt out tail light much less an engine issue. Watch that fucker blow up on the way to work tomorrow. :D
    Sky is falling....not really. :crapstorm:

Oh look, it's Second in Command of the Troll Group. Guess we can put him into the "Can't afford" category.

And you're in the Millennial category? Mom and Dad buy your truck and still living in the basement are we? :p

Oh and thank you for the promotion to second in command!

Except the stats just don't show that to be solid reasoning. Two sources --problems per 100 cars. Same basic results with a couple of years being slightly different. 1st year of 1st gen is among the most reliable as is the 1st year of 2nd gen--definitely way better than some later years. 3rd gen --too soon to tell

You would need to wait ~8 years to get a "more" reliable 2nd gen than 1st year.

1st gens are a wash. Pretty dang reliable all around, but later years did trend toward slightly more problems than early years.

Easily worth the risk getting a 1st year though--based on historical statistics/facts. No real reason to wait.

I'm still not ready to test drive one yet. Just like new trucks to much. Even though I think my '15 is great and I know I won't like the high reving nature of the 3.5 and transmission as offered now, I'd probably buy one...
    yeah it's a sickness.

Report the obvious trolls and we thread ban them. If we see a pattern of having to ban repeat offenders from tons of threads, they get the ban hammer from the site itself.

It's a tricky balance between trying to ensure legit people are finding answers without getting sidetracked by trolls, and not choking the relaxed atmosphere here with crazy rules.
