Five 37x12.50/17 MTR Kevlars ran me $2600 with warranties at Americas tire. Sad part is they have my money but the tires are still on back order. Goodyear can't make them fast enough!

Oh I know they are, I've been seeing a few people getting them in but I'm sure I'm at the end of the list when it comes to back orders being filled, good thing my trucks not even close yet haha! If it gets to the point where I need them badly enough I'll go with a different tire

Is there a law saying you need a third brake light? I wasn't aware that there is a law that says you need a thrid light . I'm pretty sure you only need just two working brake and tail lights. I could be wrong.
If your worried best top sells one that goes behind the back window.

Not exactly in those terms. However:

    CVC 24252
"(a) All lighting equipment of a required type installed on a vehicle shall at all times be maintained in good working order. Lamps shall be equipped with bulbs of the correct voltage rating corresponding to the nominal voltage at the lamp socket."

In other words, if your truck came with a third brake light, you are required to keep it in working order or you may be cited.

    That said,

    CVC 24600

"(g) Any vehicle may be equipped with supplemental stoplamps mounted to the rear of the rearmost portion of the driver's seat in its rearmost position in addition to the lamps required to be mounted on the rear of the vehicle. Supplemental stoplamps installed after January 1, 1979, shall be red in color and mounted not lower than 15 inches above the roadway. The supplemental stoplamp on that side of a vehicle toward which a turn will be made may flash as part of the supplemental turn signal lamp.
A supplemental stoplamp may be mounted inside the rear window of a vehicle, if it is mounted at the centerline of the vehicle and is constructed and mounted so as to prevent any light, other than a monitorial indicator emitted from the device, either direct or reflected, from being visible to the driver.

    (h) Any supplemental stoplamp installed after January 1, 1987, shall comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108 (49 C.F.R. 571.108). Any vehicle equipped with a stoplamp which complies with the federal motor vehicle safety standards applicable to that make and model vehicle shall conform to that applicable safety standard unless modified to comply with the federal motor vehicle safety standard designated in this subdivision."

Note that it says "may" as opposed to "shall." Typically speaking, as long as your left and right tail lights are visible and in working order, the likelihood of getting a citation are very low.

Not the first time I've been told that. Let's just say I've spent a lot of time on the side of the road with red and blue lights behind me. :anonymous:

The Flippac doesn't have a 3rd brake light. No issues in almost 3 years. When the cop is thinking "WTF is that thing?", the brake light is the last thing on his mind.

No were dose any of that say you need a third light. Just the required lights. The required is the two tail and brake and turn signals. Am I missing something. It only says may be installed not shall be installed. My interpretation could be wrong.
