Jim Robertsons sold its now Kirksville Motors. They had the best price in a 500 mile radius, and I only live 1/4 mile away.

 

It's been ten years since I lived there, surprised myself a little that I could even come up with Robertson. They were really good for me on parts when we lived there.

 

I've bought one truck off of them in the 39 years I've lived here. 1999 Toyota Tacoma. I tried to buy a Tundra off of them in 2012 but ended up going to KC and getting it $4000 cheaper. I tried trading in one of my 2000 Tundra's and they just wouldn't deal. Kirksville Motors is way better than Jim was.

 

Wonder if mine was built the same day...same truck, DCSB OR 6MT...ordered October 15, picked up today. 2 months, 2 days from order to delivery...

 

Does that "build" week start over on January 1st (calendar year)? Or is it like fiscal year, or model year?

 

Ordered mine Saturday after Thanksgiving and waited til yesterday to see how things were going since the dealer said it'd be the end of December... Got back to me today and said he was confused because there were so many orders and that mine has a build date of Jan 4th! This is the 3rd dealer I've been working with since 1st week of Nov. Complete B.S.!!!! Sucks these boneheads have the upper hand. This day and age with over $20k for a down seems like you can go get a new truck.

 

Picking mine up at 2 PM EST today! Ordered 10/10/15. ORDCSBAT with HH and TO in quicksand.

 

So 45A373 as the last numbers means a 45 as the build week? As far as I know its not built yet. What week are they in production right now?

 

No more waiting for me! Picked her up yesterday! Was dark out so this is the only picture I could get, more to come over the weekend.

Initial impressions:
Transmission does like to shift, seems it's constantly trying to keep under 2k RPM. ECT PWR button lets it rev more and refrain from shifting so much. My work commute is 5 mi with many traffic lights, and on my drive in this morning everything seemed perfect. No crazy shifting. So far so good

 

When shipping a vehicle from Mexico or San Antonio to some other distribution point, shipping it via tractor trailer is generally faster than shipping it by rail. But rail is generally cheaper on a per vehicle basis. What is confusing about that?

 

Week 45 was the same week mine was supposed to have been built but there were delays. Dealer Daily showed a build week of 11/14 ( week 45 of this year ) as it got closer the build date updated to 11/17. The actual build date ended up on 12/9,no one knows why and both corporate and the dealer said there were no known backorders. As of Monday it was in Clovis,NM with an ETA of 12/26-12/30 to the n'east. So depending on your options and what actually caused they delay,yours should be built or close to it now.

 

Ordered a dbl cab lb off road trd in quicksand a little more than a month ago. The wait is tough! I still don't have a VIN.

 

You said the truck was faster. I thought you meant the truck

Gotcha...I meant truck as in semi- truck. Sorry for the confusion.

 

I applied for an interior color change because it would be here sooner. The change was successful and it should be here next week as opposed to two weeks from now.

Dealer just called said my vehicle is on the ground but they cant find it on the lot yet. They still have more trucks coming in for deliveries so hopefully its there today!

 

I was told the same thing yesterday. Dealer said it was there - I asked for a photo and she couldn't find it. I received a photo today of it still on the truck.
