New to the community and need some help. My air system (both heat and A&C) started acting funny about 2 years ago and the fan would only work on the HI setting, but now that has stopped working as well. I looked behind the dash, literally the piece the dials are on and noticed that the connector directly behind the fan speed dial was burnt. Take a look at the pictures:

Can anyone tell me where I can get a new connector? I cut it out already hoping the dealer or a shop I go to could either replace it or fix it but nobody has been able to help. I want to find a new connector and then just splice the wires back together.

Update: Dealer told me that I'm pretty much screwed unless I can pull the exact same part out of another Tacoma at a junkyard, otherwise they would charge me for the entire wiring harness (and with the install) it would be quite a bit of money. Still searching for a replacement myself.

First, try to disconnect the connector at the blower and inspect it. In my situation, I had the same burnt look at the resistor connector and at the flower connector. I think it was the blower connector problems that lead to high resistance at the resistor connector, causing it to burn. Fixing the blower connector fixed the problem for me. I did buy a new resistor connector on eBay. It was pretty cheap, I think less than $15.
