Can't wait to hear it. Far more interested in winter road manners. I remember going out with one guy who have the old bfg's and they did awesome in deep snow. He was never breaking trail but he also never got stuck. Thinking about selling the F5's and getting the F5's with 3.5BS so I can ditch the spacers.
Lol, no love for the truck! I agree though, he is quite handsome. He is a catahoula leopard. Likely of the "farm dog" lineage haha. Aka, he is not purebred. Both parents exhibited strong catahoula traits though.

Getting rid of spacers is always a good idea. Plus those 3.5 BS f5 are bad ass!!! I thought about it a while back :anonymous:

Should be easy since the roads suck in lander right now, be apparent what the difference is tomorrow already...

My F5's with 3.5 BS should be shipping today. :headbang: Super stoked to have that much clearance and not have to worry about spacers.

Your truck was one of the reasons I got the F5. They look great!

Why do some guys get the 3.5 B.S. compared to the 4.5 (other than the obvious)

I got the 3.5 BS for a few reasons.

    1) I am going to do spindle gussets and wanted maximum clearance there.
    2) If I ever go to wider tires I will be able to do so without any spacers.
    3) Stance, with the narrow tires i have now, the 3.5s should put the tires perfectly inside the flares without going to wide.

Yep, I am getting them so I can clear 35's without spacers. I dont check them enough to be "safe". I dont have a huge fear of them failing but I do know it happens.

The other reason is that deep dish look.

Nah that's now it. Side walls flex fine. Not like bfgs but mine move plenty at 10psi. Never heard you say you had an issue with them off road

Yeah, in snow. They do alright in moderate snow. I used to be able to roll through most back roads with my normal 25psi no problem. With the MTR its a slip and slide . Air down to 10 psi and they do alright but still take their own path and bury me to my frame in no time. I am almost guaranteed a one way ticket into a ditch . That's more so a mud tire, not MTR specific. Just a thought though. In the past I got great squish with the treadwright, with the MTR I can barely see anything.

Dirt I never had a problem other than when I was a fulltime 2wd punk and I sunk deep into a mud pit with Josh :anonymous:

Also grant does want f5s. But also wants 285s. He will need the 3.5" be ones

My beadlocks are also 3.5" BS, but I'm running a 1/2" spacer in the front to clear the calipers so they are effectively 3" BS. It sure helps clear the big tires, and makes the truck a lot more stable at speed. Even if you don't do whoops, it will be more stable on gravel roads.

Get to work! Get it done by may and meet me at rock therapy.

So far they seem great! I am hopefully messing with them this Christmas some more. They certainly out perform what I have in the rear.
