OK, I tried the crawl mode in my drive way just to see how it engaged, so today I take a drive to an area where I can really put it to the test and no F*&%&%g way it would go into crawl mode or MTS or rear Dif Lock, nothing worked, I was chocked. Every time I would push the Crawl button it would display on the dash to put it in 4L and have it in R or D which I already had it in. The selector knob was useless of course because you have to activate the Crawl or MTS button to make the selector work.. I am totally baffled as to why it worked once and then never to work again, so in to the service department it will go on Monday. Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems getting in to the crawl mode or any mode that you have to use the roof panel buttons in an OR...??

If it flashes then it's not locked in 4L

i feel like a flashing 4L light would mean it was not engaged. But then again i do not have a third gen so how would i know.

it will blink while its engaging and stay solid once engaged sometimes you have to roll a little to give it a better spot to engage

Did you make sure that the 4L engaged correctly? I haven't had any problems with mine the couple times I've used it. Once the 4L engages the light will stay on solid, same thing with the locker. I found once I have it in neutral and switch into 4L to put it in D and drive forward and it'll lock.

You do realize that when you take it into the service department it will work. All you need to do is read the manual.

When you properly shift it into 4LO everything will work.
