    Whatever works!

I haven't had a single problem with mine. Oh, and I may need to pick your brain on the tank. I need to add an aux tank in Bandit. 250 miles a tank while towing Smokey gets old real quick and I don't want to pay two grand for the DOT approved transfer tanks. :D

Just do 1/8" all the way around. Most flat beds have 4" channel mains, and 3" channel bracing. Top on every flatbed out there is either 11ga or 12ga. I actually just had a Bedrock flatbed put on my truck yesterday. I'll post a pic in a minute. Mine came out to $2100 for the bed, $500 install, and $900 for the tool box.

It's awesome. I ditched the dual 20t air jacks because they were a pain to get even bends. I ended up getting single 50t air/hydro jack and it works much better.

    Nice table!
Mine is similar but I left the slats spaced 1.25" so I could clamp to the table's surface.

Do you have a picture of your setup? Does it bend heavier steel pretty easily?

I posted a bunch of pics of it a few pages back on this thread. Here's another one though.
It'll do 37" of 3/16" with ease, not sure what the max for 1/4" is but probably around 24".

I'm a metal polisher and tinker with welding. I started with tig and I'm better with aluminum than stainless but want to master the SS bad. Don't have any experience with mig or stick other than trying it a couple short times. I get scraps from clients from time to time for practice
Using an older Linchon 185 AC / DC
Scrappy the dog was the first thing I ever stuck together with a welder,

They weren't spaced of yet in this pic, but I've got mine 1.5" apart. How did you do your clamps?

I need to weld more to increase my skill...I wore out a Lincoln 225AC tombstone after 20 years, got a Hobart 140 Handler, using C02 as a shield gas for sheet metal work, and last year at auction, got a OLD Hobart 300amp AC stick welder. It is a massive unit, 60% duty cycle at full power, on a 100 amp breaker. I just got done with a set of 25k capacity "saw horses" to support a custom truss job to expand my shop, and this week, since I am off, a six foot long rack to support my collection of sledge hammers, rock hammers, blacksmithing hammers and splitting mauls. That will be fabricated out of 2"x1/4 angle and 1"x1/8 angle. With the stick welder got a Phoenix rod oven, the old round style. Now all my rods live a warm and dry existence...

Upgraded my cutting gear two years ago from the small Victor setup to the Journeyman level, running that on propane and 02. My projects always exceed time available!

Just using c-clamps. The pcs on the table are just clamped up as an example. You could probably make some slick clamps that hook into the C channel though
