Slow week on here, everyone out getting filled with the holiday spirit?

Kids are at my in-laws tonight. Instead of going out and partying, we are in relaxing. Wifey is taking a bubble bath and I am playing on here. Looking forward to a peaceful nights sleep and sleeping in. I bet we fall asleep like some old couple, while watching a movie in bed before 10 o'clock.

Our littlest one has an aversion to sleep. She has never slept more than 4 hours at a time, usually 2-3. Well, except when we did the sleep study, thats the one time she slept the whole night. I usually stay up late to catch her first wake up and then my wife catches the next two. So an uninterrupted night of sleep is pure gold for us. They keep saying she will grow out of this, but we are closing on 3 years of it, no end in sight.

She gets 10mg of it every night to go to sleep. 3 hours later (you can almost set a clock by it) she is awake.

Yeah, we have tried almost everything anyone has suggested to us. Going in for Diabetes testing in January, from there we are not sure what the next test will be. Our Doc is awesome, but she is at a complete loss too. Every specialist we talk to is surprised that they can't find anything wrong with her. She doesn't want to be awake and doesn't take long to get back to sleep, but it does require one of us to get her back to sleep. When she is finally up for the day, she is grumpy from lack of sleep.

When we talked to a behaviorist, they said we are doing everything right, so no help there.

Otherwise she is a healthy normal little girl.

That is the current prayer, that she out grows this as she gets older or she becomes able to get herself back to sleep. It has become a part of our "normal" life. She doesn't wake either of our other kids, so that is a blessing. They sleep like logs. We are lucky that this is all that is "wrong" with her, there are so many other families dealing with far worse things.
