Any Pros and Cons with each of them? They seem very similar.

I wanted the luxury to keep things in the back when i need to. But also want to be able to take it off and use my rails when i need to also. Bike/ Dirt Bike. Gave me a idea of if I needed to carry a big load i can just keep it in the bed and when I take the bike/ dirt bike/ load I can place the cover back on. I was considering waiting for the G4, but decided I wanted to keep my rails free. I do like being able to open from the front of the cab, but I am thinking of long term.

There both similar in pricing and Rugged Liner is slightly lower, but will be gladly to get one over the other based on functionality.

having similar dilemma on rugged cover vs extang.

Leer looks really similar to the rugged cover...tried to find cost on Leer but website referred me to local trucknamerica who is typically kind of pricey. Would be interested in the cost of leer vs. rugged cover?

I put the Rugged Hard cover on my truck and it looks and fits great. Very simple to install. Took me about 20 mins. No water leaks after a couple washes and a few showers. I haven't seen a Leer but from the pics it does look similar to the rugged cover.

You can call them or use chat to get additional discounts that's what I did. They had a 20% coupon, but it did not apply, but contacted them they worked something out for me. I almost went with the extang but decided go this route for pricing and I was able to get a
AMP Research Bed X-Tender HD for 192 shipped and I didn't need to pay taxes in California which is a huge plus.

Yeah, I can't find a Leer triology online purchase. The nearest one is a place that haven't return a email to a quote for 2 weeks now. Forget them.
I will take a picture when I have it installed.

The extang seems to be hit-or-miss around here. The reviews on this Rugged cover though are awesome, and for the $600-640 range, I'm very impressed. It even has lights. I think i'm going to go down this route...

for $603 im sold...went to the site, entered the coupon code, but brought price down to 640, then saw this " Due to manufacturer restrictions, and to ensure your product's full warranty, we can only offer 15% off this item online. Call us and we may be able to offer a deeper discount over the phone.".

thank you OP for the heads up!!!

by the way, ships Dec 28 through Jan 1. Wont see it till after the new year, but that is fine...

yeah, push for the 20, when I spoke to the girl she said she might not be able to give me the 20%, but as fast as she said that, she retracted and said she could do 20%, updated my cart while on the phone and I was able to process the order.

    Good luck!

I went with the extang 2.0 over the rugged liner just for the fact the extang rear corners fit a little better. Every rugged liner cover I looked at on the Tacomas and other trucks had the rear corner almost sticking over the bed rails. Curious if it was an install thing or thats how they sit. Post some pics once you get it installed.

Glad I can help, when they come I am sure we all will have pictures. I am hoping this is more weather proof then the extang.

Here is a screenshot of the price I got. XMAS present for myself.

I just ordered, gave me the same 20%. For $603 shipped you really can't go wrong. I haven't seen one negative review on it.
