Frank is a man truck. He has to tough it out. Lives outside in the cold and elements too. But your right, it would make sense to at least put the batteries in the garage on some wood blocks.

Don't have any trickles. Should do that. Really I was going to pull them this year but ran out of time as usual after the big trip and having to leave for St. Louis.

Getting old though.

Well I mean I wheeled with one haha and it was lifted and Igor with no lift had more ground clearance. The front suspension design is bad.

It does have a more power Than a 2nd gen in the size of a 1st gen. That's the only cool thing

I'm new to this thread and have just been lurking. I just moved to Green River 8 months ago. I have been reading this thread backwards as I do with so many to get more up to date info. In any case. I don't know if you are still having problems because I didn't notice anything as I was reading the thread backwards. In any case, the dealer we have out here in Rock Springs has actually talked me OUT of buying parts I thought I might need when I've been doing my "preventative maintenance on my 2004 RC 4X4. Which is weird and more than one person there has done the same thing. That tells me they are pretty honest. I was talking to the service manager that seems to be quite knowledgeable with these trucks and he mentioned to me that he has noticed that some of the newer Toyota's are having "ring tension" problems which is causing oil usage. I don't know what models or years he was talking about. Whether your 2011 has this problem I don't know but if you are still trying to figure out what to do you may want to call Rock Springs Toyota and talk to a guy named "Jason" in the service department. Since this part of the thread isn't very old I thought this info might still be relevant to your situation. Maybe you might want to let this dealer in Rock Springs check it out.

You're right! I was out "exploring" today. Just put some J59 Deavers and OME on with the 880 springs. Getting them "set". I wanted Kings or ICONS but the stock worn out suspension had to go now due mainly to safety issues and didn't want to wait another 2 months for the funds necessary for the expensive stuff so I'll do the high dollar suspension down the road and have "back up" suspension for when the time comes to rebuild the "high dollar" stuff. My problem is I get weekends of and that's all I get off. Don't want to use up vacation or sick leave because my dad lives in Reno. He's getting old and I have to go visit him. As often as possible.

 

If you would have been here for the last week or so you would have had more snow than you wanted.
