All trucks look cool in Baja race form, show me a good looking ridgeline at the consumer level.

Not even a chance of a manual trans in this.

One can never have too many light bars.
I must say I like how it looks. It's a shame it doesn't have a truck chassis and a front engine, RWD layout or I could see it being a real competitor in the segment. I personally really like Honda engines. Probably the only company that can build em just as or more reliable than Toyota.

^Unfortunately that picture is where the decent looks end. The front 2/3 of the truck is based on the Pilot and has the typical jellybean minivan look:

    So fuck no.

No surprises. It's a Pilot with a bad. Though I'm sure shortly several people will tell us how capable that is.

On the other hand, VTM-4 is quite appropriate for wives or older family members who can't be trusted with operating a part-time 4WD system correctly. It's no worse off-road than Toyota's AWD system in the Highlander or RAV4.

Interestingly, Honda chose to re-use the Pilot door glass, so the rear door window on the Ridgeline also has a vertical bar on it, even though there's no wheel arch cutout in the door.

I never said it was any different than the highlander awd :notsure:. Yes it will sell a few units but I don't know if it'll sell like the first Gen. That truck failed to meet expectations. However, there is a loyal Ridgeline crowd so like I said they should sell well for a few years.

Seen that on IG. I was looking at that rear bumper, which looks like to be a one piece bumper that wraps around. Imagine paying for a new one if say you get into a minor fender bender.

The only feature that I like about the Ridgeline was the tailgate haha.

I'm still shocked people thought this was going to be more than a Pilot with a bed. Sure, lots of buyers just need a Pilot with a bed, but those buyers also tend to buy more truck than they need anyways and the Ridgeline is not that sort of vehicle.

^I think many people were expecting Honda to give it more truck-like styling while re-using Pilot powertrain and suspension.

Not disagreeing with you, just adding to your input. :)

Probably more capable on slippery, snow-covered roads than a Tacoma is, due to the AWD system. Got to give Honda credit for actually redesigning it, not just a warm-over like the the 3rd Gen. Competition is a good thing for us in the long run.

Sigh, this again lol. Do you really think that this Honda is all new? I'm willing to bet quite a few things carried over on this truck too. Too each there own, but to say the Ridgeline is better because it appears like they started over from scratch seems a bit silly to me when it's just a pilot with a bed.
