    It was for a pocket door. I'm not sure why they did the header since it ends in the middle of nowhere and wasn't even supporting the pocket door.

    Yeah it was 22 this mornin butni wind so pretty bareable. It was in the 70s 2 days ago tho, been got this year. This is like the 3rd or 4th time we went below freezing, unusual even for here

    A small handful of select mods.
    Cause doorway requires header. Our house had them with the pocket doors too. I was glad. Made converting a pocket door opening into french doors a breeze.

    But the stupid thing is there was a gap between the header and the 2 2x4s they used as the actual pocket door header. Hard to see in that picture, but the pocket door frame was in no way attached to that header.
