Sadly they're at a stand still :( gotta wait til after the new year and get my budgeting back on point before anything serious happens. I might lug the R154 tranny up from my parts warehouse (an old shed) and crack the case this Monday. I have to take the old pressure plate and bellhousing off it anyhow.

That's the plan.. But it'll be awhile yet. I've got some other stuff to do to it and then a manual swap and maybe an LSD (since its also sitting in the parts warehouse) and that'll probably be it for awhile!

It's not so much a diff swap as it is a carrier swap.

I took the diff out of that '87 Supra I got the R154 out of and I'll take the carrier (the LSD part) and put the Lexus ring on it and toss it back in, after setting backlash and preload and all that jazz. The housings are completely different, so swapping diffs would be easy but not possible.

Sometimes its about the journey and not the destination. I could have a pile of poop with a Lexus symbol on it.. but atleast I tried my hand at a manual swap, diff work, valve work, engine rebuild, and lots of other custom work depending on how far I actually decide to go with it! I could swap it and make an exhaust for it and be completely content with it. Who the fuck knows?! Not I.

It's bolted in now. Thinking about mounting a pair of 5 inch led flush mount pods in it.. not sure yet though
