Or how about when someone posts something of information and opinion that is not of your own belief you actually listen? That's the issue as soon as politics became a topic pre and post election it's become a liberal smothering love fest, so "really?" Back at ya...

French White Jesus. Ya that's what many of these folks in Montreal are referring to him as, I suspect many of you don't pay attention to the social media clicks if you have not heard this reference yet. Same was said of Obama back in the honeymoon phase as the new Black Jesus. Same campaigners. Same BS hope and change message and will be same outcome you'll all want him outta power same way you did Harper.

Do I agree that Nutjob and the provincial government here is doing far worse on us? Damn rights that is in fact the most negative element as Albertans we have to deal with. Far less with Federal. I just think it's silly one can not have or demonstrate a (non liberal) view without the forks coming out. If you only want Liberals commenting make a seperate thread or change the title that's my point.

I'm old enough to have lived through a few Federal Liberal views I don't recall ever anything fantastic other then huge country wide built debt, the NEP and lots of their own scandals.

    Btw..

Why is Omar on the payroll btw being he is on watch lists with other surrounding countries??

I never was against a "multi cultural" and sexual orientation cabinet but it's unfolding to be that many of these appointed were not (best choices)...

Global warming ya I remember the claims in the 70s and 80s and then we went through actual colder cycles and ice cap building. Then 2015 the Paris Conference. 5 days later NASA releases pictures and data showing ice caps in northern and southern poles are increasing? I don't buy into the whole fear and scare tactic of so called global warming and climate change sorry. If you're ever curious to watch a good and interesting documentary on the largest contributors watch a very recent documentary called "Cowspiracy".

basically, expect to be called out on overly zealous or complete bullshit remarks, regardless of political preferences. Goes with the territory here. Yes, variety of political preferences is expected, and enjoyed here. Yes, i'd agree there is a 'honeymoon' phase after any election with a political change. I would say the Conservatives lost, because many Canadians did not agree with Harper's leadership style within government, and his world views bordering on bigotry - a departure from our Canadian values.

Interesting, so US govt. has removed restrictions on raw crude exports from the US, in an effort to make home based exploration and increased production economically attractive to the oil conglomerates. There has been no mention of building new pipelines in the US, and I would expect some backlash from the American public (if they notice) about shipping their American produced raw crude elsewhere. I would expect that more oil exports would potentially further drive the price down, and in my mind I don't see the oil companies rushing to export oil, unless it just involves a re-balancing act of where they ship the oil from for existing market share. ie shorter transportation route from California to China, rather than from the Gulf of Mexico, or North Sea making the exports at low prices more economically profitable for the oil companies.

using up the US reserves faster to feed the economic growth of countries such as China, I think is a bit of a short term $gain. Canada may do well in the long term gain, when US reserves dwindle, price goes up, and Canada still has the reserves to feed the US. Ultimately, I think, the long term gain for everyone is diversifying energy sources, and reducing reliance on burning hydrocarbons for energy needs.

I just pay attention to more then CBC and Global media. I'd say NASA is more science then CBC by a long shot. Satellite images, scientific data piled onto more data doesent lie. But what do the people who made us land on the moon know right?

Pipelines are an elaborate web in states. When by PC I'll get some maps for ya. They have hundreds of thousands of miles of them. Railcar (buffet cash express) has been a big player in their oil transport as well. However it's proven to be not so reliable or environmentally friendly with several derailments in the last few years alone.

Hey if that's way you like to see it. I prefer to have an open mind and actually look at other data and not believe everything on the television or brainwash box as it's often referred to.

I'd agree that pipelines are far safer and preferred over rail transport. The challenge, from my perspective, with the Northern Gateway is not the pipeline itself, but the end goal - transporting crude by ship from Kitimat, BC within a narrow, navigationally complex fjord. The long term damage done by one spill when it happens would be far more damaging than the economic spin offs generated. Its not worth the risk. I believe the objections to Keystone have been that the route, should a spill occur in certain areas, threatens a groundwater resource over a very large area. While the route maybe the easiest, perhaps different routes should be considered. :notsure:
