Truck Caps

How much do they generally run? whats a good brand? can i order them online?

I'm leaning towards truck caps after looking at many tonneau covers. I haven't found a tonneau cover i like. It seems like companies put alot of money into truck caps. I like the Are Z series

Just ordered a Z-Series a few days ago.

 

how much was it? installation fee? is flat black a color option?

 

I got it with a carpeted headliner, sliding, folding front window and roof rails (so I can add a rack later) and with install and tax was $2148. I went back and forth between the Z and the lower end V-Series with all the nice features like windoors, etc., but in the end preferred the more refined look of the Z.

 

has any of the cap manufacturers stated that their caps fit the 2016"s? Is the contour of the roof and back of cab the same as the 2015? I had ordered a cap for my 1995 Tacoma when new, and the cap didn't follow the contour of the truck well, wide gap at the top that became narrower as you approached the top of the truck bed. Want to avoid that mistake again.

i wonder how hard it is to break into the side windows on this cap.

 

Have Leer FG cap. Very happy with it. Installation a snap with adapters bolted to bed rails. Optional slider on front, screens and interior lighting on 2015. Highly recommend for your 2016.
