Outfitting an m4 for my job and considering optics. I know I want magnification as I will be using angle sights for CQB. ACOG is obviously a go-to, but I can't justify spending that $$$. Any of you out there have any experience with any optics, good or bad, with magnification?

I'll be honest, it looks like you were running rather slow for aluminum

Not sure if it fits your idea of budget but I have a vortex spitfire 3x that I really enjoy. Clear optics, can illuminate the reticle, and the reticle is etched into the glass so if your battery goes dead you aren't SOL.

Wow could that be legit? It would take a real idiot to not realize his barrel is blown.

But it doesn't look blown, unless the part they cut out is what blew.

Squibs are my biggest fear. I let my brother load a few rounds once cause he was interested and loaded one without powder. Wasn't watching close enough. He was the one shooting when it went through too and thank god the bullet didn't go far enough and the next round wouldn't load.

I did this with my first batch loaded on a progressive. Getting the timing down on a new press takes a lot of tweaking sometimes, and a couple snuck in with no powder. I can tell you that a 110 gr 300 blk bullet propelled only by a primer won't go down the barrel far enough to let the next one chamber, thank goodness.
