    Thanks @tcBob

We had a good chat about this a few weeks ago and came to the same idea if you remember. There are definitely trolls, but I find it hard to tell who is just having fun with the new truck and who is actually causing shit. I agree overall that handcuffs what you can do without turning this into a purely technical forum.

I have 4,500 miles after 2 months. I love it so far. The only small (and I mean smaller than a flea small) issue that I have is:

    6 spd m/t issue:
Stepping on gas while coming into a turn is rough. When you depress the gas peddle the rpms barely go up so you can't make an easy transition into the next gear.
As you let the clutch out then it will allow the rpms to go up, but by that point it has already caused the clutch to engage hard. I think it has something to do with the new Atkinson engine setup supplying less fuel when the engine is not under load.

I love the 6 speed manual. It has no problem coasting down hills. It has a nice power band that allows me to keep it in 3rd gear or even 4th the whole way up the local mountains. I've already hauled my trailer around with no issues when it comes to power.

Funny thing is I bet people will still argue these statistics. Most of the problems are from factory problems like the hood adhesive, and most do nothing that will hurt the longevity of the truck. The shifting can be fixed with a simple ETC patch. I heard Toyota is working on one. But who knows.

I do want to buy one. Well, I did. I held off for several years waiting for the new Tacoma. Toyota wanted a cheap way to get some better MPG out of the slightly-refreshed Tacoma so they put in a weak car motor to reach those goals. I am really happy they kept the manual but I don't just see how the 2016 is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the 2016.
I can afford a 2016 now if I wanted, but since I felt let down by the new Tacoma I am holding off for the new Frontier, Ranger, and new Tundra.
It must feel real good to assume people are poor because they don't like a product? Your keyboard jockey skills are on point!
