I slide this into the back of the bed. Carries a full size motorcycle. Designed for tires up to 190mm. Floor is rubberized. No picture in truck sorry. The four cutouts are for D-rings straight to the bed mounts.

How did you mount your dirt bike bar? This is my first Tacoma with the composite bed. Did you just drill holes like a normal steel bed and you the bolts and nuts? I have used the crush pins in my F-150's but wasn't sure if those would work with the composite bed.

Did you have to drill the holes to mount these? If so, what did you use for the drill, the attaching bolts, etc?

Yes I just drilled through the bed. A bit of a challenge to get over the fact I am drilling into my new less than 1000 KM old truck...

Also I doubled up on the 1" OD washers behind the bed and had to grind the outside washer flat a bit of one side to fit inside the bed rib as the outside hole were not perfectly centered. I posted some other comments in the "what have you done today thread" with regards to what I would and would not haul with this rack if you are interested.

No. They slide in the groove of the head rail. Very easy!! They are made for that type of rail system.

I used to go diagonal with my dirtbike in the 06 because it was a long bed. But now with my short bed I just leave the tailgate down and put a tie down across the back side. I typically don't try and put my zx6r in the bed, since the truck is lifted the fairings bottom out when loading and unloading.

I'm hoping to get one of those bed extender/ramps at some point though, to keep from leaving the tailgate down.

I sure hope Thule or Yakima gets a bed rack out soon for the 2016's, I think they just need to redesign the rail clamps.

    None yet, but soon...
With that Body Armor Sports Rack do you have any vibrations at highway speeds? I've got an Access Cab and would love to put this on my truck, but I'm on the PA Turnpike a lot.

Nothing as good as a Thule T2. A carry over from the 2nd gen will continue to serve the 3rd gen nicely. Soon followed by a decked out solar powered shell for camping ... I hope
