Took approximately 8 weeks from writing up the order to me picking it up. That being said, it was roughly two or more weeks before they were able to get an allocation...so six weeks from them placing the allocation order to it arriving.

    Stock... For now...
I ordered my truck on September 23.
Toyota accepted my order on October 24 (2nd allocation period)
    Build date given: December 9
    Actual build date: December 4
    Truck delivered: December 15

For me it was about 3 months from order to pickup.

Welp, I placed my order 10/6/15.
Found out it was recorded a week later. Yes, I do see it posted on the "Big Board" in the sales manager's office.
Was TOLD the day I placed the order that once the truck is built it takes 6 (that's SIX) weeks to transport it from Texas to northern California. Was also told up front I could expect the truck by the end of the year.
Was confirmed in Oct build date would be December 17. (Today is the 20th. Have I heard a peep? Oh please, that would be asking WAY too much. )
But if I hold all information true, a build date of mid-December, plus 6 weeks transport, makes delivery the end of January. I was told to expect end of the year though, even with a mid-December build.
Conclusion : Keep enjoying my 02. I MIGHT get a new truck someday.

The six weeks transport is BS. Very rarely a vehicle will be held up in port for a while for one reason or another, but it is by no means predictable or something to be counted on. Also the "big board" counts for nothing until you have a VIN, either temporary or the real deal. If a real VIN has been issued for the truck, the truck has been built. If the truck has been built the dealer has access to a delivery window. Press them on this.

I hardly think it will be 6 weeks in shipping. He stated at the time that the rail companies were having labor issues, or 'something'. I suspect he was just painting a worst -case scenario. Haven't heard of anything/one else bringing it up.

Tomorrow makes it three months officially of waiting. The dipshit dealer has claimed they cannot find out why my truck was never built, but the plant is up and running again and I should have it by the end of the 4th month. These fuckers are holding my life hostage.I'm stuck in the middle of a mountain town in the middle of winter ,its snowing and I have no wheels.Everyone that is just now ordering ,you may be in for a rude awakening on what's the actual time frame you get your truck, from what the dealer tells you.

I ordered mine on black friday. Was told 6-8 weeks. I told the dealer what I want, he came back with a 3 page sheet detailing standard and optional features with a blacked out VIN number. Told him it was missing the JBL, he came back again with a different 3 page sheet (again blacked out VIN number). Each was preconfigured with different accessories - which I thought was a little weird.Dealer called last weekend to say HI and to remind me that it'll take 6 to 8 weeks for the truck to get in. I'll have to see if it really happens.

I'm just starting the waiting game. Ordered a MGM OR DC w/ JBL audio and a bunch of accessories on Saturday 12/19/15. I only have a general time frame of 45-60 days.

Seems like it's the MGM + JBL combo that is making this truck a build-order. My dealer could find trucks in MGM w/o JBL or trucks with JBL but in a non-MGM color.

I also ordered a bunch of accessories since I'm getting this truck at invoice pricing + TTL/Fee... we'll see if the fees end up being more than the $500 DH fee that I'm expecting. I'm not sure if there will be a TDA fee or not.

I didn't think I would mind waiting, but now that I've pulled the trigger and put $$$ down, I want my truck! :) Hehehe

One thing I do kind of worry about is I'm selling my vehicle on my own, hopefully in between now and the truck arrives. The part I worry about is selling my car quickly (Likely - most popular sports car where I live) and being without a car for potentially several weeks waiting for the truck to arrive.

Hmm...that's what I ordered too. MGM, OR DC with JBL and tow but without the tonneau. I'm getting mud flaps and floor mats, if I didn't want those I would need to wait about 3-4 months. Seemed like if I went without the JBL it would be a couple weeks faster as well.

My '02 is spoken for (sold), but he don't get to have it till I get the new '16 in my garage. He knows it and he's good with it. Not that he has a choice. And it looks like it will be in excess of 3 months from order to delivery. Whoopidie do da.

We chose to sell my car because we had another vehicle to drive. It saves us some money on insurance for a month and the registration was coming due on the vehicle we sold. Got 1800 cash for it when the dealer was offering 500. Listed it for 2000 with the sub in the trunk on Craigslist. Sold in under 6 hours for 1800 without the sub

Ordered 10/23/15... Order was finally picked up today because I created a case on 12/19/15 with a complaint against Gulf States Toyota for skipping over my order simply because it was a manual transmission. Now I have a conformation from Toyota Corp that the order is completed but will not be in the Pipeline for 2-3 more weeks. So here I am at 8 weeks and counting.
