Yes, after getting me some Chipotle today :)

I've updated my OP with some of my future bike upgrade research. Looking at maybe a new CBR600RR or ZX6-R, then maybe a DRZ400SM later on.

Love my Shoei RF1200. I've seen nothing but good reviews for them, plus there are tons of color and graphic styles for the RF1200. I've got the Hi-Viz Beacon style.

1st. Supermoto is more fun, and i do own both. Put almost 6k on my supermoto this year and less than one on the cbr.
    Qft
Going fast is fun, but youll realize its stupid to ride around 130 all the time. Plus most of your riding will be 50 and below for the most part (assuming speed limits are like my local). Going fast is fun on the track, but thats it. Supermoto is fun everywhere. On and offroad.

Also love my shoei, but get whatever fits you best. And i suggest spending some money, cheaper ones tend to have a lot of wind noise.

    Supermoto isnt a regret.
Mine is an 05, just sayin...
    Fair enough

Aw damn. 2007-2009( I think) got the increased hp with the revamp. The hunt rages on but I don't plan on getting anything for about a year or so, need to spend tons of time researching

Ive ridden 4 wheelers, 1 dirt bike to learn the clutch system and thats about it. Im not buying a 250 and then switching 6 months later because i outgrew it. Gonna go straight to 600CC and just take my time getting into it knowing ive got extra power

PM me a price and specs :spy:

Dual sport/supermoto isn't the same as off roading a truck at all. You can do whatever you want on these things. Street riding is easier than a sport bike, being a hooligan is much more fun on a supermoto, you can go in the grass or dirt or jump a curb whenever you want, you can take turns better than a street bike, and I'd you crash or drop it on a trail the repairs (if any) are way cheaper.

Everybody that has had both a dual sport and street bike will always say they have more fun on the dual sport.

    Here's my logic

-I dont really like the look of the dual sports aesthetically. The other bike ive been thinking about other than the CBR 600rr would have to be a KTM 800 adventure bike but the jury is still out, im not sure if i'd want to get offroad in something other than my truck and i've always liked the freedom/speed aspect of a Super Sport bike, my dad had one and it was breathtaking riding it.

-This'll be my first bike purchase so im not buying something off the showroom floor so when i drop it (inevitable) i wont be pissed.

-I dont want to start off too low and then outgrow whichever bike and think "damn i should have gotten more power from the jump"

Will do. I do agree that getting if you are getting a sportbike 600 would be my starting point looking back at it.
This. Youll understand after riding though, people generally come to the same conclusion.
Youll still be pissed when you drop it. Supermoto not so much. Plus its fun jumping, wheelie-ing, and everything in between. Even a large supermoto would be plenty if you wanted a "faster" bike. But to each their own

Fast on two wheels gets old. Too much can go wrong.

Drz400 will run about 105. Plenty fast enough for me for now.

Plus, insurance is cheap. Getting coverage on a sport bike, for me, would've been more expensive annually than most of the bikes i looked at

Insurance for me on a 2008 Honda Cbr600 would be 26$/month lol (USAA is the realest)

I've enjoyed our discussion of all this thus far.
