Thanks for the quick reply. Ouch, that exchange rate is a killer!- I hadn't realised that our dollar was that low. :( I'm still interested but might have to hold off for a bit.

Not a problem... If the exchange rate gets turned around you'll know where to find these. It has been pretty crazy lately for sure... CAD dollar is starting to feel like Monopoly money in comparison

I'll be putting the order in shortly for the illuminated switches. There are a couple I haven't heard back from yet but I will assume your colour choice to be remaining the same. I'll be ordering enough that everyone on the list is covered

I expect it might be around 2 1/2 weeks for them to get here, in the meantime I'll prebuild the harnesses to the specs you guys ordered them to so that they are ready to start sending out once the switches arrive!

How much wider are your mirrors compared to the factory mirrors.

If it's for the left of steering or under the AC kits then no problem at all. If your thinking the new kit option I'll be keeping limited stock on hand but could order an extra for you if you know you will be taking it. I would just need to know what colour you are after.

    Thanks for the interest

I'm interested in the new kit option. if not available, then the left side with the 15 min timer. is green illumination only available with the under AC option?

I just ordered a bunch of switches for the new option tonight and expect to start shipping orders out for that in about 2 1/2 weeks once they arrive. I ordered enough to fill all the current orders plus an extra 3 each of green and amber. If you want the new kit I can put you up on the list which will secure you one of those switches.

Under the AC I can do in either green or amber. Both the under the AC and left of steering kits are in stock and could ship right away.

    Hope that helps

I'm hoping to have the switches here in about 2 1/2 weeks from now. I ordered them last night and got a notice that some of them may be delayed but they didn't elaborate if that means by a few days or a week etc. There is also a bit of a language barrier since these are ordered in Japan. So the honest answer is I'm not 100% sure when but it should hopefully be a few weeks.

If that works for you I could add you on the list and that will secure you an amber switch (I ordered a few extras). You will also have the choice between the switch lighting up at night with your headlights on, or only lighting up while the mirrors are actively heating.

In case you haven't seen the updates on this though, the amber is a lighter amber color then what the other switches in your truck. I describe the lighting in post 985 https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...thread-pic-heavy.377840/page-50#post-11383962

Also although they light up great at night. If you choose to have the switch light up only while heating then I will warn that during the daytime the light can barely be seen. The LED's in the switch are probably not a high enough wattage to overcome the daylight. No problem if you are starting your truck up for work in winter before the sun has come up.

Anyhow just giving you all the facts so you can make an informed decision!

Also no need to pre-pay... I don't invoice until the kit is actually ready to ship.

I am picky about the color. i want it to be a closer match for sure. I dont have any more room for switches. I already have 12 additional switches. I may wait it out until you get the coloring sorted out if thats okay.

I can be pretty particular about that kind of stuff too which is why I wanted to bring it up. No problem to wait, although I'm not sure if it will get improved upon since as far as I can tell the only way to get a better color match would be to test a bunch of replacement LED's and solder them in place.

There is also an option that just doesn't light up at all but still accomplishes the same which is a heated mirrors switch without giving up one of your existing blanks.

It's too bad about the amber because the green switches are nearly a perfect colour match.

I would be willing to pay extra for a custom color matched switch. your call though.

I can have a look, it's not the easiest task though... The surface mount LEDs are small. The pic below May not make them look small because I'm zoomed right in. That's why uncle Ben paid a visit, and it's not a large grain of rice either lol.

I've soldered SMD before but stuff this small is a bit nerve wracking. I am quite confident a much better color match could likely be achieved though.
