Access cab windows.

I wonder why the got rid or the pop out windows on the access cab door? I had it on my 1996 and 2006, loved them and never once had an issue.

 

i have a new 15 access cab, there not on mine , i miss them, still would buy.

 

What year did they take them out? I had then in my 86 also now that I think of it.

 

i think we lost them when they made the little door, first 2nd gen year.

 

My 05 doesn't have them. Just a sealed window.

 

No because my 2006 had them with the door.

 

Maybe they were only on certain packages. Maybe on the trd's

 

Maybe I don't know. Mine have all been trd sports

 

2007 SR5 5 lug
2010 TRD Sport
2015 TRD Sport
All with fixed glass no flippers like my 1995 and 1999 had.

 

Can someone confirm the last year with the popouts, on what model(s)?

My '13 5 lug is fixed, and I'd sure like to find a set of pop opens that would fit. Maybe from a wreck.

Weathertech doesn't show any rear vent guards for 2nd gen that would allow a pop out. Only stick on the glass.

Seems to indicate no 2nd gen popped out?

 

2nd gen didn't come with Pop-out windows for the rear access doors. Only the 1st gen and older did.

 

Not true my 2006 had them.

 

I liked to keep them open for my dogs all the time.

 

I worked for toyota as a mechanic and owned an 06 X-runner, they never came with them.. ONLY the non opening doors, 1st gen, had the pop-out doors.

Check out any OEM parts catalog, it will not show any pop-out windows for 2nd gen.

I looked at my pictures. You can't see anything.

Like I said I may be mistaken it with my 96. But I truly believed I had them on all my models.

 

I would definitely be able to tell a 1st Gen from a 2nd Gen.

 

I have had so many trucks and cars trust me it's easy to mix a few things up.
