    So,

Super happy to finally be joining you all in the joys of owning a Taco, Taco Supreme I think. I wanted to buy one seven years ago. I wanted too 'bad' however my business partner 'knew a guy' and I ended up in an 05 Colorado. I have, I must say that said Chevy did in fact do me justice, rain, snow, ice and mud I never broke down, never needed a tow.... Finally however I'm three days away from parking my new truck in my driveway. Many thanks in advance, while I'll be looking through threads before asking questions I'm sure I'll ask a dumb one or two somewhere along the way. Looking forward to getting to know all of you and this amazing tuck!

Well, I got her out into a housing Devel. And took some time to crash through some semi-frozen puddles, giving her a bit of a paint job. Got some donuts in and a chance to play with the traction settings (Always a good idea to learn/practice with the new perks!).

First oil change today as well and I have a question, couldn't find a thread on the subject. I was surprised to see 'frothy gunk' under the oil cap. Any ideas on if it's a problem or if I'm thinking there's something wrong when there isn't?

Wow.... Thank you, a genuine thanks and welcome is very much appreciated. Got a call to take her out in some mud, by a long time friend of 15+ years, we had a good time. Unfortunately the ground was 80% frozen and the mud didn't come up like I or my friend would've liked but it was a good time once he unlocked the chain protecting the property.

(Do a few more details keep the haters away?? Or is my thread getting jacked again?)

Playing in the mud was the first thing I did with my new truck too but after having to clean it all off the truck I never did that again. LOL

Welcome! The frothy gunk is moisture. A little bit, especially in colder weather or if the truck has been sitting a while, or lots of short trips is ok. If there is a larger amount it could indicate bad things like a blown head gasket. Get the truck out for a good trip where everything heats up well and see if it goes away.

Thanks Speedy. I don't know the difference between the two.... I know cloudy oil can be a result of mixed coolant/oil and was worried. Came out of the oil pan 'proper' but thought since there's so many guys with a tonne of knowledge around here I'd double check.
