I noticed after installing a line controller and amps to my factory Entune HU that my illumination for the radio buttons is not working. All of my dash lights and instrument cluster still work, and the radio does come on and work. When I was working on the truck, the 12V memory wire shorted out and popped the fuse to the radio. I replaced that and everything else works fine except those lights. I honestly am not sure if they were working correctly prior to that though. I rechecked all the wiring and everything is correct (or as well as I know). Is there some special type of wiring that I am missing or an internal fuse on the radio to check?

I had the same thing happen to my 2015 Tacoma once I installed a mini amp. In the factory harness, there is an additional wire in the smaller of the 2 speaker connectors on the back of the radio. This additional wire is not included in the generic Toyota wiring harness adapters.

Seriously? I was thinking that was the case, but I cannot find any schematics on it. Did you get it to work?

I can't remember the exact process I used but basically I just ran a jumper wire.

I was trying to look where to jump it. I know it has been a while for you but any help you can provide would be great. I have spoken to Metra and to Toyota to get schematics but haven't gotten anything as of yet. If not no worries.

Without pulling my radio back out, I am trying to remember correctly. I am pretty sure I ran a wire from the factory harness in connector A to the back of the aftermarket connector A. It was either pin 4 or 5. af513d51291462c66cbe6e1256df632b_3b9b2508397eecd1b50daf518f186ff0c258d5a7.jpg

That is what I was thinking but I couldn't find Tacoma wiring schematics. Thanks bro!
