That would explain why Rey is so strong with the force. I think...in galaxies far, far away the effects of an incestuous relationship are reversed.

On a side note...when I walked out of the theater, I kept saying to my wife (as we passed people in line), "I can't believe that C3PO is Kylo Ren." Got some looks.

I'm starting to think Rey is not Luke's daughter. If she was old enough to remember whoever it was leaving her behind as a child, wouldn't see be old enough to know her father? Also, when Han first meets Rey and Finn he's telling them about Luke and one of them said they thought all of that was a legend if I understood right. So wouldn't that go to show she's not his daughter?

I also think she's not Luke's daughter, partially because they very much lead you in that direction that "she must be his daughter". But I think it's just a misdirection and the twist will come in episode viii

What do you all think about Rey's saber vision. She saw a hand(Luke's?) touch out to R2D2 then, Kylo killed the figure(Luke/Han), much like how he killed Han on the bridge.

Anyone notice how heavy Kylo's helmet was by the loud clunk it made the couple times he put it down?

About time an honest review comes out. Some of his points were reaching and some I've already discussed before but a very good point he make on Finn's character.

Finn was taken at birth and dehumanized his entire life. I got the Force reference; he probably has it and its forces him reconsider the murder of innocents, but how is it he acts so clueless, helpless, with more emotion's than a 12 year old girl? He has the instinct of a janitor so at least that part of the plot makes sense, though not sure why they trained him from birth to be a janitor. How he made it from janitor to Trooper, or are janitorial duties part of the training pipe line - probably why storm troopers can't shoot straight. Whoever is in charge of trooper selection is probably the same genius behind these stupid "death stars" with critical flaws exploitable by a starfighter.

Lets keep with the original plot lines; he escapes the star destroyer and crashes on Jakku. If they modeled his character towards Kurt Russel's from Soldier, that would make it more believable. Instead of him running around like a fucking idiot begging for water and running scared from a girl with a stick, they should have developed his character like someone trained and disciplined from birth. If they spent more time developing him and Rey on the planet Jakku and developing their relationship; where Rey helps Finn adapt to humanity, discusses her past, discusses her dreams (that she doesn't know are force dreams), and their relationship builds over time they could've had something a bit more believable.

Finn should have been a bad ass, not a frightened dumb ass hiding behind Rey's skirt.

I think it has to do with the force being really strong with her and that Luke is the last remaining Jedi.

@tcBob Can we add a poll to this thread, be nice to track people's thoughts on the movie? Can the OP do that?

@zacharypaul89 You should add a poll to let people vote as they leave a review or discuss the movie.

It could be simple.. Loved it, liked it, meh, hated it etc. Or more involved.

Haha you won't even get to take your assault rifle in with you! The theater we went to had 24 theaters and I think like 10 of them were playing TFA from 7:00pm to midnight, so it kept the lines down big time

He has me on ignore, but I live in Cali and I went at 6PM on Friday and there were like 5 people there. So the Cali excuse doesn't apply.

x2 all the people saying it sucked won't change my mind and I'm assuming I'm not gonna change their mind. Glad this hasn't turned into a political thread. You're wrong and I'm right!

Not trying to change minds and I hope I don't come off that way. Obviously not a whole lot of people agree with me. About $500 million in ticket sales probably don't so far and more to come. I'm ok with that :notsure:

No not at all. I agree with you on that there's major plot holes but I think me being too big of a StarWars fan boy is the reason those don't bother me as much haha

I'm just upset that i was forced to sit next to a young boy who couldn't stop button smashing the damn reclinable seat at the theater. And had to get up to go talk to his dad constantly throughout the movie. The dad knew what he was doing by sitting him next to me. Asshole.
Almost had a Kylo Ren outrage.
