Made a coke can stove at work cuz its super slow

 

Aren't Coke cans red?

 

coke cans are what ever color I believe you are confusing that with the brand coca cola, this is more specifically an RC can and a sundrop can but they are both coke cans

 

Must be from the south where everything is coke and not "pop"

 

just did a quick google image search on "coke cans" and while a majority of the pics were coca cola (most likely because of its far superiority to other cokes) there were several other brand cokes such as pepsi, Fanta, sprite, cherry coke, dr. pepper, and various diet and caffeine free versions of aforementioned carbonated beverages, and everyone knows that if it's on the internet it must be true

Coke is a registered trademark, and I know from experience, if you call any other brand of cola "Coke," and Coca Cola hears it, they'll sue you.

































But seriously, they're very litigious over "coke."

spruce but I started out with pine I just came into a good supply of spruce

 

Normal HD/Lowe's green Spruce or you getting kiln dried?

 

its kiln dried reclaimed (#2 from what I can tell pretty good quality) from shipping crates. about a half mile from my house is where the guy stores it. 17' 2x8's for $8, and he had non treat 4x4's too so pretty convienient

 

the pine was just the white wood that lowes sells

 

Damn that's cheap.

 

I may try to find a reasonable cost hardwood to use. The table I built is great, but being as it wasn't kiln dried (my first project, I was trying to keep it super cheap in case results were unsatisfactory) and I had a little shrinkage and a occasionally still get a little sap leaking on the underside of the table which is unfinished.

 

this is my next project, I just picked up the lumber this weekend, its gonna weigh like 400lbs+ im using all 2x8's no plywood for the head and foot boards, but she is paying for it.

 

check around for some places that reclaim stuff near you, if you don't mind some nail holes or don't mind filling them you will prolly save a good bit, also hardwood is hard just sayin

My room isn't big enough for a bed frame of that stature, I'm going to make the floating platform style of frame, with a headboard.

 

yeah its gonna be a kind size to boot and I told her that it was nearly 3x as much material as I usually use but like I said she got the green light from her husband and im charging a good bit more and I don't have to satin it she's painting it and she is coming to my house and picking it up so im not to upset

 

Sounds like the good kind of customer.

I had a customer earlier to deal with who is 5 months past due on $55, gave me her CC info over the phone but wouldn't tell me what her statement balance was until I proved who I was.

So 15 minutes later I get QuickBooks open and pull her info, call her back and give her a total just so I can run the credit card info that she already gave me in entirety, including CVV2 code and her billing zip.
